Located in the heart of the bustling historic centre of Cartagena, this Boutique Hotel offers luxurious fully- equipped lofts and rooms in a renovated 17th- century building. Free Wi-Fi is available.

I couldn't believe how spacious our room was, especially considering the price! And with the location being on a central but much more peaceful street, it truly felt like an oasis from the hectic town. Also the free included breakfast was great both in sheer portion and taste.

Pretty cool architecture and the back end was a hospital now the Naval Museum of the Carribean--which is actually quite well done and interesting. The square is good for people watching, though at night this area in particular (and especially by the Clock Tower) becomes something of an open brothel. The other issue is that there are parts of the walled city that are hotter than others due to the lack of a breeze (one drawback of the giant wall): this is one of those places that can get unbearably hot and humid.

El Baron, one of the Square’s restaurants, has tasty well priced food and drink. The cathedral is a popular gathering area for tourists and locals. Unfortunately, there is ongoing street sellers who approach relentlessly. Initially I attempted to be courteous and say “no gracias” but after awhile the best bet is to ignore and look distracted. We witnessed this throughout the city but were sympathetic to their plight of poverty and would remain courteous.
