Absolutely AMAZING!! Ive traveled around the world and this was one of thee best places I’ve stayed. They have everything you need. They put comfort first! Great location! I walked to and from all my excursions. Prague castle right up the hill. Breakfast was satisfying. The mini bar and fridge in the rooms are stacked with snacks and drinks. Restaurant is attached to hotel. Mini market across the street. Room has a surplus of toiletries, including robe, slippers, towels, body wash, hand wash, lotion, shampoo, blow dryer, etc. Golden Star staff are respectful and accommodating. The hotel is beautiful example of luxury on a budget. If you’re on the fence, please book this place!! You wont regret it.

Prague Castle
There’s more to Prague than just pilsner or lager. Not your average beer garden, the impressive grounds of Prague Castle welcome thousands of beer enthusiasts for this yearly celebration of Czech microbreweries. Entrance includes a program, souvenir glass and all the beer you can drink. Na zdraví (Cheers)!

Impressive group of buildings on top of the hill with fab views over Prague. Recommend U Pivrnce Hradčany for lunch: Good beer and traditional Czech food. I had Bohemian dumplings with beef goulash and homemade potato pancakes - Excellent! It's set back a bit from the road in a courtyard at Hradčanské nám. 60/12, 110 00 Praha 1-Hradčany, Czechia, so is perhaps a little less crowded than other places. Loved it for our relaxed, unhurried lunch in the sun.

The climb up to the castle isn't too bad, if you're in reasonable condition. The hotel man made out it would be super steep, but wasn't bad at all, especially if you go earlier in the day before it gets too warm.
The castle itself isn't as spectacular as you might expect, compared to some English castles, but the cathedral and basilica are worth a visit. The "Golden Mile" is a street with small houses: some have a few interesting museum-type artifacts and history, amd some are just shops, ranging from handmade jewelery to more touristy stuff.
The audio tour may be worthwhile if you're particularly interested in learning the history (there are a few information boards with English translations, but there are a lot with no English or no information at all). Bear in mind they need CASH as a deposit for the audiotour machine. We had none so couldn't get one.

We spent a day in the Castle, went through St. Vitus Cathedral, which is on the Castle grounds. HUGE Cathedral with a lot of different tours, all of which we took. Lots of things to see on the grounds and well worth spending at least a half-day there.

About a 10 minute walk upto the castle from our hotel.
About a 10 minute walk upto the castle from our hotel. There are a lot of steps to climb on the way to the top, but plenty of pit stops on way if you need one. It is probably a good idea to pre-book your time & tickets to enter the Cathedral up there. It was very crowded at 12.pm when we got there & waited about 30 minutes before we could enter. There's a fantastic medieval pub on the way back down the steps to the right of the castle, dates back to 1600's and well worth a stop off for a beer.

A beautiful experience to wander about the castle grounds.
A beautiful experience to wander about the castle grounds. The palace was wonderful. The ceiling detail truly incredible.
The Golden Lane was a picturesque street of colourful houses inside the grounds castle. A look at modest dwellings of a goldsmith and others, and above the dwellings, a magnificant collection of knight's armour.
St. Vitus Cathedral was stunning. An amazing work of art in every sense of the word. And there was just so much to see. Simply amazing.
These are just a few of the highlight from the Castle.
Tip: buy the map of the castle if you are tourning on your own.

Buy the no line ticket. It was a breeze to get in.
Buy the no line ticket. It was a breeze to get in. The cathedral was packed but we just strolled the gardens and came back in the afternoon and got right in. The views back at the castle and of the city from the summer palace are Exquisite. Lots of uneven walking so wear comfy shoes.

As a luxury international city hotel, this place is nearly perfect. Room is great, room-keeping is lovely, breakfast buffet is gorgeous. Every staff can speak great English. 10 minutes walk to old city and central station, 30 minutes to Prague castle. It was a great stay with reasonable price.
Located in Old Town, this property is:
1) Near (within a few blocks) most of Prague’s attractions (Charles Bridge, Prague Castle/St. Vitus, Jewish section, restaurants, shopping, grocery store, etc);
2) Tastefully decorated;
3) Has all of the amenities to prepare meals;
4) VERY comfortable to relax after a long day of traveling fun, and the beds are super comfy! I’m a pillow and sheet snob, and I don’t have any problems with sleeping as everything was very high quality; and David was very responsive to our questions.
We had a wonderful stay at MOOo by The Castle. The room was lovely with lots of space and facilities for us. The shower had great pressure and always had hot water. The staff were friendly and always helpful. The location was a couple of blocks from the tram station and walking distance to Prague Castle and Old Town. Definitely check out the Alchemy bar in the courtyard. The room and area was quiet at night.
This hotel is amazing. The room we got was excellent, it was exactly what we wanted. The hotel itself is very clean, the breakfast is excellent and the stuff are very nice and helpful. It's located next to the metro and there is also a tram nearby. It's close to the old Town and to Prague castle.
It's a very luxurious hotel with large free parking facility, 24/7 reception, and beautiful live music performance every evening in a spacious common area. The breakfast is delicious, the staff is very friendly and responsive, the bedroom is clean, and the hotel is perfectly located (3 minutes walk to the nearest tram that will take you to the Prague castle and Old Town). Will absolutely return to this hotel next time I go back to Prague.
The location was good, very close to the Charles bridge and the Prague castle. The neighborhood was quiet and the tram station was right outside the hotel. The breakfast buffet had a good spread of options.
The hotel is extremely well position, the Prague castle is just round the corner. Equally, Charle's bridge is a short walk down the hill (may be a bit more demanding on the way back after a few beers). The hotel is well appointed and the staff are super friendly. Breakfast was OK.
The location is perfect—very close to one of the top tourist destinations, Prague Castle. The staff is extremely helpful and kind, and the breakfast was excellent. I’d definitely stay at this hotel again next time. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
This apartment is very well furnished, has extras (pillows, blankets, ironing board, etc). There is a nice view in one direction and you can see Prague Castle over the roofs in the other direction.
