Opened in April 2012, located on the Vegetable Market in Brno's centre, Grandezza Hotel Luxury Palace is a luxurious boutique hotel featuring a hand-painted glass ceiling and marble mosaics.

The hotel is in a great location in Brno old town, facing the “vegetable market” square and with views up to the Cathedral. It is close to the major historical sites that are in easy walking distance, including the Castle and busier main square. Plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants and shops nearby. The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful. We were fortunate to have been offered a room upgrade to a suite, which was much appreciated. The room was large and airy, well equipped and tastefully furnished with good open views of the square. The breakfast buffet was extensive with plenty of cold and hot food selections available, including barista coffee to order. The staff were very also attentive. Overall, a very enjoyable stay that we would be happy to repeat.

Everything is new, very clean and modern. The room is spacious. The staff is friendly. Breakfast is excellent. The best hotel I’ve stayed at in a while.

This red-roofed castle offers up unbeatable views over Brno, especially from the lookout tower. Built in the 13th century, it’s dripping in history and gives visitors a fascinating insight into the city’s past. You can easily spend hours here learning about the past, appreciating the art galleries and enjoying some local treats at the café.

    Dullish history museum but a wonderful art collection on the third floor, some historical and a great collection of Czech cubism. But you may have to ask to see it, was locked when I visited but I'd checked website before visit.

    The castle is very beautiful with stunning views over Brno, but it's hard for non-Czech tourists to get the information about what you're seeing. You get these pages in English in parts of the exhibition, but that's all. The young lady selling the tickets was very clear about what her opinion on the matter was: "we are in Czechia, the things should be in Czech!" It was the 1st time, and I've travelled quite a lot in my life, that I heard someone saying this! Thankfully, the rest of the staff, even if not fluent in any other language but Czech, were very nice and helpful.
