I loved how intimate the space was, if you're looking for a hotel that's quiet and a little off the beaten track then this is it. With only 7/8 rooms it's very private. I loved the connecting pool, wifi was brilliant, and the breakfast was always good. Friendly attentive staff, with a hotel whatsapp which helped with communicating.

We booked 3 rooms. In one the air conditioner did not worked but was fixed the next day. In one we did not have hot water and in two of them was a bad smell of old furniture. The waiter that serves the breakfast is not friendly. There were a lot of mosquitos in the room. Location is excellent. Breakfast was very good and the pool looks very nice but we did not have time to swim.

The common areas, the pool, the tropical garden, we could not have made a better choice than La Tortuga. The fact that the hotel is not on the main road/sea front makes it a much quieter place. The staff was amazing. We originally booked for 3 nights but then extended our stay for another 4 nights. The rooms were spacious. The location was great. There was a gym nearby. And there was yoga twice a week. The staff also accommodated any extra wishes.
