The hotel was amazing, warm, clean, modern with historical features retained throughout. From the minute we arrived we were greeted by friendly and professional staff, and this continued throughout our stay.
The hotel is located a few minutes walk from the Old Square and surrounding points of historical interest. Many nice restaurant's and bars again a short walk away.
Renovated in 2016, this stylish 5-star Schlossle Hotel is housed in 13th and 14th-century buildings and located in the centre of Tallinn’s Old Town.

What a very special place this hotel is, located in the heart of the Old Town, right round the corner from the medieval square. It was like stepping into the past with a log fire burning, low hanging wooden beams criss-crossing the spacious lobby. Staff were super helpful, polite and attentive to our every needs and we so persuasive in their recommendation that we eat in their restaurant, we booked (which we never do!) So glad we did - if this place doesn't get a Michelin Star soon, there;s no culinary justice in the world - exceptional food, with a nod to the traditional and the modern-European - a lot like Tallinn itself.
The stylish Taanilinna Hotell is set in a historic building in the Old Town Tallinn, 350 metres from the Town Hall. It offers elegant rooms with free internet, wood-beamed ceilings and wooden floors.

Our hobby and lifestyle is to experience the world and we have traveled a lot over the years. We have spent hundreds of nights in different hotels around the world. And luckily we have never experienced a hotel that arrogantly accuses and charge credit cards to its guests at its own discretion, before now.
This was initially a very simple and small matter. My wife had an accident and had a little bleeding after she went to bed. She then lay down on a towel. The next morning we took off the bed sheets so that the cleaning staff realized that it needed to be changed. But here was Radisson's way of making money!
They grabbed the opportunity and said that a huge stain on the outside corner of the mattress, under the top mattress, was also blood from this accident. Firstly, this is physically impossible to have a connection. Secondly, if this huge stain referred to is blood, criminal investigators should be called!
The photo documentation that Radisson itself had of the sheet shows small blood stains a little to the side of the middle. The fact that they even try to put this into context is incredible in itself.
It is one thing to be concerned about the cleanliness of the hotel that has not discovered this horrendous stain before. But what is truly frightening in this case is that Radisson try to blame us and shamelessly charging my credit card with 250EUR without any prior notice other than an accusing email.
We had a meeting with the hotel's Guest Relations Manager, and after reviewing our photo evidence and the hotel's, some sense finally prevailed. They admitted after talking to the cleaning staff that this stain was on the mattress before we arrived. We were still charged 50EUR for cleaning of one towel and the sheets.
After another employee looked into the matter, the rest of the money was refunded and we finally received an apology.

How does it work?
1
It starts with a booking
It starts with a booking
The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.
2
Followed by a trip
Followed by a trip
When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.
3
And finally, a review
And finally, a review
After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.
