Situated in Bordeaux, 1.1 km from CAPC Musee d'Art Contemporain, Le Palais Gallien Hôtel & Spa features accommodation with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, private parking, a garden and a terrace.

Slightly out of the main centre , maybe a 10/15 minute walk .. Was very quiet , not many people around for breakfast or in the bar , but maybe a quiet time of year ? A lovely hotel though …

the location was good, and well placed for walking in the centre. the shower was very good, i did like having an option for making simple food and having a choice of comfy chair or chair at the table. The fridge was good but noisy.there wasn’t much noise disturbance outside,it’s a quiet street. lots of living area space which was nice.

The staff were amazing! These young, friendly and very professional people were SO attentive, and made our stay fantastic. They helped us plan our bike trip around the wine region, helped us store our bikes, and even provided some snacks for the road. Every single person we encountered was absolutely incredible. The room was splendid, and we had a luxurious stay!

Utterly wonderful breakfast. All home made foods snd excellent attention to detail. Excellent location. We were very well looked after and lived the experience of this hotel. We would stay here again and can highly recommend.

Hotel 56 is a recently opened, newly built hotel very close to the banks of the Garonne River and almost directly opposite the beautifully designed and constructed Creative Arts Centre of Bordeaux, MECA. We chose it because its close proximity to the Gare Saint-Jean. Railway Station as we were travelling around France by Eurail pass. The hotel rooms are large beautifully appointed and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Location of the hotel is on the fringe of the city and if you're not a walker, Bordeaux has a reasonably priced and very good public transport system, so we found it easy to get around from where we were. There is also a supermarket across the road from the hotel to buy delicious Bordeaux for the evening in your room.
