Everything from check in to check out was 10/10 perfect.
Check in experience was very personalized. Shout out to Kirsty in reception who made us feel welcome, told us about the times we could use the facilities, all about our room and also supported in signing us up for the IHG loyalty program (wee glass of Prosecco after signing up too which was lovely a lovely touch).
I often find check in experiences to be very straight to the point but Kirsty was genuinely interested in what we had planned for our stay etc.
The room was absolutely stunning, large room, clean and the minibar/snacks were a great touch (we stayed in the Premium King Room so minibar is included with these ones)
Robes and slippers too, clean and very cosy!
Unfortunately we didn’t have time to use the spa but I have done the twilight experience before and it’s magical.
All round - the best overnight stay I have had in Glasgow, and 100% will return to the Blythswood hotel!
Featuring a fitness center, a restaurant as well as a bar, AC Hotel by Marriott Glasgow is located in the center of Glasgow, a few steps from George Square.

We absolutely loved our stay at the AC Mariott in Glasgow — we had requested an early check in which we got. Although not the twin room we booked, we were happy as Mother and Daughter to share a bed and get access to our room early. The bed was so comfortable, the room was spotless, the tea & coffee facilities in the room were great and so was having an iron, ironing board and hairdryer! Lovely big fluffy towels, robes and slippers too. Great TV and plenty space for the two of us. Staff were so welcoming and accommodating of our request for an extra pillow too (I was suffering from an injury which needed support!). Thank you so much for a lovely, memorable stay.a
Overlooking the River Kelvin, Ambassador Hotel is located in the heart of Glasgow's West End and offers rooms with free WiFi access and on-site parking facilities free of charge.
Set in Finnieston, Kelvingrove Hotel - Sauchiehall St offers accommodations in Glasgow, 2297 feet from the Exhibition Center (Glasgow) Rail Station. It has free Wi-Fi.
Located in Glasgow’s vibrant West End, Albion Hotel has colorful bedrooms with free Wi-Fi. Just 20 minutes’ walk from Glasgow center, the hotel offers cooked breakfasts and period features.
The friendly, family-run Sandyford hotel offers stylish rooms with private bathrooms, a 10 minute walk from the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre.
Great location near University of Glasgow. Very walkable part of the city with a young population and close to restaurants, pubs and cafes. Easy walk to city center if you don't mind a little jaunt.
Location was very good within walking distance of all we wanted to see except for the Kelvingrove museum and University of Glasgow, however a bus ride to both was easy to do.
The room was nice although a little small. The hotel is an old building with a relatively new interior and a nice vibe. There is coffee on the lobby level (except in the morning durning breakfast). The area seems more business center than tourist but it is not a long walk to restaurants, shopping, and pubs. Places like the Cathedral or the West End?University of Glasgow require an Uber.
The location was great! My daughter was starting University of Glasgow and it was within walking distance. Lots of restaurants, pubs and museums nearby.
The staff was always so helpful, the location of the hotel was perfect. There’s a bus station right outside and you’re right in west end. It’s walking distance from Kelvingrove park, Kelvingrove Museum and University of Glasgow. The breakfast was very good, offering a variety of things. The room was big enough, they cleaned it daily. Would definitely come back.
Breakfast -- excellent. Staff -- all excellent, courteous, friendly, and helpful. Location: ideal for Glasgow's West End, Kelvingrove, and the University of Glasgow, all of which are within a few minutes' walking distance.
The location is amazing, just a few minutes away from the University of Glasgow. The rooms are very vintage and has rich cultural history. The hotel decor is a very good uplifter of the Scottish culture and heritage. The staff are really friendly and helpful too.
Attentive staff. The kitchenette was perfect. Everything was clean. We even had a view of one of the iconic Billy Connolly murals outside our window. Great location, walkable to the river and to shopping. We even walked up to the University of Glasgow for a look around. Would stay there again!
I stayed in Sandyford for 5 nights and it was amazing. The receptionists were kind and very nice to talk to. The room was on the smaller side but for one person it was okay. The room and bathroom were clean. The hotel's location was good because it's only walking distance from the University of Glasgow. I would recommend the place.
