The room was so calming and the bed so comfortable. The staff were all so welcoming and friendly as well when I arrived

Built in 1903, the iconic Taj Mahal Palace stands majestically opposite the Gateway of India, overlooking the Arabian Sea.

The staff were incredibly friendly all of the time - constantly greeting you with a welcoming smile, asking how you are or how your day has been, engaging in conversations, and wanting to assist in any way that they can! I was also extremely impressed with how well they all spoke English! My room was cleaned, tidied and restocked at least 2 times a day. The buffet breakfast each morning had such a huge variety of everything and anything that you could think of, with beautiful views of the ocean. And I loved the newspaper hung on my door each morning in the little hessian bag - so cute! Room service was excellent - food was delivered in a timely manner, the service was exceptional and food was really tasty. For the $$ spent on accommodation per night, you expect the service to be exceptional but everything exceeded my expectations. The attention to detail was amazing - even the chauffeured vehicle to transfer me to the airport had water, refresher towels, mints, hand cream - and the driver was very lovely, we had a great chat! Some highlights of my stay - the gorgeous architecture and learning the history of the palace, my beautiful luxurious room, the guided tour of the Taj with our tour guide Mr. Prabhakar - I love his dedication and passion to the Taj, a retired chef who returned to carry out these tours, dinner by the pool being served by Shailesh, Hansika and their team - I had the lobster and it was absolutely amazing, being greeted by Choudhary at the elevator every day, and the friendly service generally by all of the staff - especially the lovely man at the X-Ray machine at the entrance, who would give me beautiful compliments every time I came in and out of the palace! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay - 3 nights was not long enough!

I had the pleasure of staying at The Oberoi Mumbai, and I can confidently say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The staff truly make this hotel shine — every single person I encountered was incredibly warm, friendly, and genuinely hospitable. Whether it was a warm greeting in the hallway or the attentive service at the entrance downstairs, the team consistently went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and cared for. The location is absolutely excellent — perfectly situated with easy access to key landmarks, business districts, and the beautiful Marine Drive. It made exploring the city so convenient, yet the hotel still felt like a calm oasis away from the bustle. Breakfast each morning was absolutely lovely, with a great variety of delicious options. The pool area was also a wonderful place to unwind — peaceful, clean, and beautifully maintained. Highly recommended!

It was clean, stylish room with excellent service. Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and attractive. I was very pleased with my stay. We loved this quirky boutique hotel . It had thought of everything but they were helpful with any queries and questions too. Clean, friendly and we'd love to stay again if ever we visited Mumbai.

    It’s sad to see the iconic monument in complete neglect - it felt that the authorities are waiting for it to disintegrate and fall apart . A smelly toilet greets you as you alight from a taxi to enter the ramparts of the monument and the get pestered by photographers who still have not understood paper photos cannot be used in Social media - they just need their phones and charge Rs 10 for a click and add unique filters and they will be a rage . Breakfast was simple yet good, and the staff was pretty supportive to the needs of an eleven month old baby. The room was simple, and had guest house like appearence.     I'm a five time guest, here are some of the things I love about this hostel: The attention to detail, super clean, hot showers, enormous co-ed bathroom (the way it should be in a hostel), helpful staff, 15-min walk to the local train station (Bandra Terminus), 30 min train to Gateway of India, plenty of spaces to chill, not-one-but-TWO common rooms, and really cool guests (seriously, even during short stays I can find people to hang-out with...)

    The location is very good. A few minutes walk from the Gateway of India. The rooftop restaurant has a wonderful view of the harbor. Breakfast is also served there, not very rich but satisfying. The entrance to the hotel is different: basically the hotel and the reception start from the 3rd floor upwards. The room with a view of the harbor is worth every penny. You wake up in the morning with the sunrise and a view of the harbor - wonderful
