This was a fantastic two night stop over in Iceland, something we have been meaning to do for quite sometime. The hotel and staff were fantastic, with a special shout out for Martin and Andrew. Clean, tasteful and comfortable. The only issue with the property was the difficulty in parking.

A spacious room (twice the size of most hotel rooms), well appointed, and with a very comfortable bed Free washing and drying facilities (at a different building - but very close)

Newly renovated during the spring of 2023, Hotel Local 101 is an independent hotel quietly tucked away in the heart of downtown Reykjavik, on a charming street made up of classical Icelandic homes.

Cleanliness, cozy, warm. Really enjoyed the room but to be honest we stayed very little in the room as we were on full day trips every day. Breakfast was great and healthy!

Found in central Reykjavík, this boutique hotel is set in a listed-building, designed by former state architect Gudjón Samúelsson in 1917.

Great reception staff and location. Very happy with breakfast, cleanliness, decor etc. My only advice is that the restaurant is thunderingly noisy, so do not plan to use it unless you're under 20! Make sure your room is not on that side of the building. Also the rooms seem generally to be on the small side, especially the single room which is very tight indeed.
