In a prime location in Florence, II Guelfo Bianco provides a buffet breakfast and free WiFi throughout the property. This 3-star hotel offers a bar.

I was lucky enough to be situated in a remodeled room. Not only was the room itself beautiful, so was the view. The room was so spacious and decorated beautifully. The natural light made the experience so ethereal. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, and just something so simple like having water and sweets available in the lobby made it that much better. The location was perfect, just a few steps away from Accademia and then a few minutes away from other major sites and destinations. Easy to walk to from the train station.

Anetta did a great job welcoming us and orienting us to the city and the best spots for food/shopping. The room was great with tons of space, comfortable bed, and great/clean bathroom. Overall we felt the stay was great from beginning to end.

Hotel Orto de' Medici features free WiFi, a charming internal garden from the 16th century, and a panoramic terrace with views of Florence. It is a 10-minute walk from the Duomo.

The entire trip at your hotel was amazing, from the front desk staff to ladies in breakfast. It was our first time to Florence, Italy. And I can say it won't be my last. I'll be returning next year with a friend of mine. Thank you for the wonderful service..

Set in a 17th-century building, Solo Experience Hotel overlooks Florence's Basilica of San Lorenzo, and offers large rooms with free Wi-Fi, air conditioning and private bathroom.

Excellent location! Large room, the bed is very comfortable, view onto the Piazza was beautiful, all amenities were wonderful. I would have rated a ‘10’, however, the majority of staff were not friendly and upon check-in did not provide instructions on the importance of placing the room key in slot once inside. I did encounter a few very pleasant staff members, especially on my last evening and morning who was very hospitable.

Hotels with great access to Accademia Gallery!

Accademia Gallery

Visitors looking to gaze upon Michelangelo’s "David" should skip the replica at Piazza della Signoria and head straight to the Galleria dell’Academia, where the original can be seen in all its glory. The gallery also houses several other of Michelangelo’s works, plus more Italian greats like Boticelli and Andrea del Sarto.

If you think Michelangelo is a fabulous sculptor you will love seeing not just David which is magnificent -so much more than photos can convey -but also 5 of his captives sculptures. The difference between them is striking and highlights his enormous range of talent. There are also many examples of medieval and early renaissance paintings and altar pieces in the museum.

If you do nothing else in Florence, go and see Michelangelo’s David. It’s in the Accademia … don’t be fooled by copies that are in various outdoor locations. It’s breathtakingly beautiful. There is also a fascinating section looking at how statues are made and the artwork that hangs there is well presented.

Definitely get the "skip the line" tickets in advance.

Definitely get the "skip the line" tickets in advance. Note that the location of the place (narrow, old, tiny streets) makes the ticket-holders' lines somewhat disorganized and less than efficient. Plan ahead and enjoy the FABULOUS works of art, ESPECIALLY Michelangelo's DAVID!
