Boasting an ideal location in Florence city center, Hotel Nella is a 3-minute walk from Santa Maria Novella Train Station and from the Fortezza da Basso Congress Center.

Staying at Hotel Nella was one of the highlights of our trip. They were very welcoming and helpful. They even helped us with taking the luggage upstairs. Alejandra was the best! She was warm and always smiling. It was a pleasure meeting her and getting to know her. The hotel's location is also very convenient and 5 minutes away from the train station (walking). The hotel street had markets and restaurants. Everything was perfect. Highly recommended.

Just a 10-minute walk from Florence Cathedral, Hotel Diplomat is in the historic center, near Santa Maria Novella Train Station. Rooms come with free WiFi.

Room is spacious and designed aesthetically. Location is good, very closed to train station. Breakfast was good, perhaps could start a little earlier for guests who have day tours to catch :) i wish we have more time to enjoy this place.

C-Hotels Joy offers accommodations in the heart of Florence, 492 feet from Firenze Santa Maria Novella Train Station. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. Free WiFi is featured throughout.

The hotel's location is extremely convenient, we walked to and from the city centre every day, the railway station is also very close. The staff was polite and attentive at all times - I appreciated the nice touch with the hand written note and chocolates waiting for us at check-in or the pasta gift at check-out. The room was spacious, the bathroom was clean. There were a couple of minor inconveniences - the towels had an unpleasant smell, but we replaced them after the first night and the new set was alright. The duvet was dirty, so I was very mindful at night not to touch it. The sheets do not help as they do not fully cover it. Also, we did not understand at all the check in procedure - we were several times asked to send our passport copies upfront, we were even asked to do online check-in and again insert our passport details. When we arrived, we were asked for the documents again. The check-in procedure was supposed to be simplified, but was in fact really annoying to do it three times...Other than this, I believe the hotel is good value for money.

Set in a 17th-century building, Solo Experience Hotel overlooks Florence's Basilica of San Lorenzo, and offers large rooms with free Wi-Fi, air conditioning and private bathroom.

Excellent location! Large room, the bed is very comfortable, view onto the Piazza was beautiful, all amenities were wonderful. I would have rated a ‘10’, however, the majority of staff were not friendly and upon check-in did not provide instructions on the importance of placing the room key in slot once inside. I did encounter a few very pleasant staff members, especially on my last evening and morning who was very hospitable.

Palazzo Vecchio

Sharing an imposing Neoclassical building with Spain’s National Library, the National Archaeological Museum of Spain houses an envied collection of historical artifacts. Ancient coins are displayed alongside intricate Islamic art, and the Altamira Caves replica gives a taste of what life was like for prehistoric humans.

Online booking was a little confusing.

Online booking was a little confusing. We thought our ticket to the museum included the tower but not so. As a result we missed out on the tower which was disappointing. Also I felt the price of admission was a little steep. The museum itself is absolutely fantastic, incredible history and stunning works of art.

Bought tickets on Tigets , but when we arrived for our timed entrance, armed military were at the entrance and they had closed the museum. Such sadness! No warning, or notification, just a very sorry. And it being our very last day in Florence we sadly missed this important museum. Consider leaving some flexibility in your schedule when doing the intense but once in a life time art museums of extraordinary Florence.

A must visit that was easy in December.

A must visit that was easy in December. Would imagine it gets busy in the summer. Plenty of neck stretching exercise required because you will spend most of your time looking up. Photographic tip. Put your phone in selfie mode pointing up a the ceiling saves on the neck muscles.

The location is the BEST thing about this place! It is very convenient as it is in front of Palazzo Vecchio - Lots of restaurants, cafes, and shops downstairs. Additionally, the bedroom is surprisingly big, making my stay even more comfortable.

Location is amazing! You walk out the door into the Piazza Signoria with the Uffizi next door, Palazzo Vecchio in your view, many shops and restaurants around you in every direction and Ponte Vecchio down the street. Just a few minute walk to the Duomo, Central market and other destinations. It’s a short taxi ride to the S.M. Novella train station if you have too much luggage to walk it. Staff was friendly and price was very affordable. Unit had a small kitchenette as well.

We loved the location of the apartment. Vincent and Marzia were excellent hosts and made the whole process so easy. It was special to stay in a 14 Century building and the location is unbeatable with Uffizi Gallery and Palazzo Vecchio at your doorstep.
