Location was excellent. Leonardo at the front desk was incredibly helpful. He was able to help us with our room safe, direct us to several restaurants with gluten free options for my wife and made our stay very easy. Happy hour was fun and a great place to compare notes with other guests.

Ponte Vecchio
Peruse the shops perched above the River Arno on this pedestrian bridge. Dating back to 972, its history is the stuff of storybooks. Ponte Vecchio’s seen it all from noble feuds to ruinous floods. Once a market where vendors sold meat, the smell of raw flesh tossed in the Arno disgusted the Medici dukes. Today’s retailers are much less carnivorous (they’re jewellers).

The Ponte Vecchio is a must when visiting Florence.
The Ponte Vecchio is a must when visiting Florence. The shops are varied and interesting. Make time to pause for a cocktail (or gelato) and watch the variety of people walking across this famous landmark.

Ponte Vecchio is an amazing spot to buy jewelry from jewelers that have been in the business for centuries. The price of gold is standardized so not much point going from each place to ask about the price of gold, instead find a store that specializes in what you're looking for and has the style you like. Some places specialize in gems, others gold, others vintage pieces.

Go really early for great photos without crowds or sunset and night. Bellisimo. Be careful when walking over the bridge in the day as it gets very crowded and artists put their drawings on the ground and if you walk on it, you buy it!

You have to buy something from 18-karat gold here☺️!
You have to buy something from 18-karat gold here☺️! It’s not cheap but gold is tradition in Florence ( and leather). But be prepared that it’s only not crowded in the morning (when only few shops are open though).

Our hotel was adjacent to this attraction so we had a daily view of it. The photo shown by booking.com does not resemble what it looked like in December. The bridge itself is wall to wall jewellery shops. A good time to visit is before or after they close. The shop fronts change back to the original wooden frontage and makes for a good photo.

Since I visited Florence four times in the 21 years, I know enough where to choose as accomandation. On our last visit, we took an apartment on the southern side of the river, the Bridge was just below our window. The city view is both fantastic and classic. It is the apartment with almost the same view of the location of the "hotel room" where the film "Room with a view" was shot. It is like a dream coming true.

Location was excellent right off the Ponte Vecchio in Santo Spirito neighborhood. Here you get an authentic Florentine experience with local cafes and stores with a beautiful view of the Arno. The rooms were comfortable, clean with a sweet note and teas to welcome us. The washer/dryer was a bonus, as well as the board where you could leave your picture and use the yoga mats.
The B&B is quaint and charming, with a beautiful garden. It's around 17-20 minutes walk to/from Ponte Vecchio, alongside the Arno River, a peaceful stroll which I enjoyed. I arrived after their reception hours (until 4pm) and they gave great instructions how to check in and find the room. The bed was comfortable. Joan, who was the staff when I visited, was extremely kind and helped me learn more about the city. I got free bottles of water plus snacks. I really enjoyed my time here.
Location and staff. The Hotel is within walking distant of all of the cultural and food establishments that make Florence such a special place to visit. Right across the street from the Aron River and across the river to Piazzale Michelangelo with a view of the beautifully lite Tower. At the same time you can look down the river to the Ponte Vecchio. The staff were wonderful friendly welcoming and accommodating.
Everything was great! The staff, in particular Fulvio and Reza were so nice and helpful and you simply cannot find a better location anywhere in Florence. It is literally in the Piazza Signoria just steps away from the Ponte Vecchio. Highly recommended
The apartment was clean, cozy and even better than in the photos and had a very good location right near the Ponte Vecchio. Scott was great! He met us out front and let us into the apartment and gave us the details for our stay.
The hotel was centrally located. We practically walked everywhere. Uffizi, Academia and Ponte Vecchio was near. It had a lot of restaurants and shopping nearby . The room was quite nice and comfortable. They cleaned the room daily. There is a lobby area where you can get coffee and water. If you arrive before 2pm, they have lockers for luggage but they were full. Thankfully, the cleaning staff was there and she helped us lock away our bags in a closet.
AMAZING VIEW! We booked this apartment for New Year’s Eve and believe we had the best view in all Florence. You could watch the fireworks at the river plus, see the amazing light show on the Ponte Vecchio, it was magical! Very responsive, kind and helpful host, had an amazing stay.
The location of the hotel was excellent, it was within walking distance of virtually everything. fantastic restaurants close by. The breakfast area was very well presented with great service, loved the cappuccino's every morning.
We had actually booked a standard room for a couple of days and then a suite for the remaining, as suite was not available for the dates. The hotel however put us in a suite from day one, unexpected but very much appreciated. Room was excellent overlooking the Centro Storico and Ponte Vecchio. excellent job.
The room was comfortable, as were the beds! It was a beautiful hotel and a lovely room. The location was excellent, far from the hustle and bustle of downtown but well within walking distance. You can't get lost coming home, it's a straight walk from the Ponte Vecchio bridge!
