We liked the property very much. However, we were in a top floor room next to the lift that we could hear.
Breakfast was excellent as were the staff.

Piazza San Marco
If you want to dig a bit deeper into Agrigento’s glittering history, this is the place to come. The Regional Archaeological Museum is full of ancient artefacts from the area’s Hellenic past, each one supported by a fascinating back story. It’s the perfect complement to your visit to the Valley of the Temples.

What a marvel...but...don't even think of eating/getting coffee here unless you understand: coffee is c. 10Euro...but walk thru, peak in the windows, stroll around listening to the music, feel the ambiance and then hit the narrow walkways for real food (read reviews...touristy places can have awful food...there are plenty of great restaurants if you search)

Go early in the morning, or in the evening, to avoid tourist overcrowding. Learn when the two high tides are. Book St. Mark's Basilica and Doge's Palace and tours for early admission, and do so well in advance of your trip.

Probably the most beautiful square in the world!
Probably the most beautiful square in the world! Very expensive to get coffee etc on the square itself be prepared to pay upward of 15 euro for a beverage and 25 euro for a cocktail in some cafes, but plenty of places cheaper nearby. I’d recommend going during carnival season as when everyone is wandering around in their costumes it’s like going back in time. The architecture is stunning. You can go inside the basilica and doges palace etc, admission fee approximately €15 per entry and the queues can be long so if it’s something you’re interested in perhaps pre book online to get a better deal and skip the line. The architecture is stunning with so many details everywhere you look but also the line of Murano glass chandeliers looks fab at night.

Visit in the evenings, after the cruise-boat tourists have departed and the pigeons have flown to roost, and see it as it truly is. Just because something is popular doesn't mean it should be avoided. Just don't go during the most crowded times, and see for yourself why it became popular in the first place

Many shops and few restaurants on the walkway around St Marco. They are super expensive. On the side street are shops that are cheaper. You can visit the Clock tower for Euro 10. There is a lift to take you atop. Great views from above. No need to buy advance tickets on line which charge you double the entry cost. The Basilica entrance costs Euro 3 and the cost to the rooftop and museum costs Euro 7. Worth a visit. On the side by the waterfront is the entrance to the Dogi palace. Has impressive paintings and rooms. Entrance is Eur 30. Seniors over 65 pay at half price. Well worth a visit.

Very friendly check-in and check-out. The hotel is located directly on Piazza San Marco. We had a fantastic view of the Piazza San Marco and the Campanile. The whole hotel including the room are furnished in proper style. Large room with a very nice bathroom. A truly exceptional place to stay in Venice.
Very clean, comfortable and beautiful apartment with kitchen. Excellent location on a quiet street, a few minutes walk from the Rialto Bridge and Piazza San Marco. The staff was very helpful and friendly, spoiled us with fresh croissants in the morning, it was unexpected and pleasant.
Thank's Paola and Valentina, we had fun!
Very nice and lovely Hotel. Cozy and clean. The location was perfect for me. It is in a nice and quiet street alltough you are very close to the center (Piazza San Marco). Additionally the breakfast was the best I ever had!
Very nice hotel just a short stroll from the piazza San Marco, clean, very comfy and spacy room, nice bad, good breakfast, nice personnel. Very quite at night. Overall perfect stay.
Very nice family run hotel located right next to Piazza San Marco. Very clean and well kept rooms. But what we loved most is the staff.. from Melba who took care of breakfast, the nice receptionists who were always happy to greet us and help. And last and most important the lovely owner Concetta who treated us like family. This was our first stay at this hotel but we are planning to stay here again next year. Thank you Hotel Orion for a memorable stay and see you again next year 😍
This apartment is a gem! The location is fantastic, literally minutes away from Piazza San Marco, in a very quiet area, with a big supermarket and lots of trattorias and osterias around. It was extremely clean and the kitchen well fitted, just perfect for our family of 3.
Lorenzo was extremely helpful, giving us all the necessary details about shortest routes and most convenient ways to explore Venice.
The location was lovely—a small apartment, but truly beautiful and very comfortable. Inside, it was extremely clean, and the position was fantastic. It was just a three-minute walk from Piazza San Marco. From the apartment, we could easily explore the city and reach some of the most beautiful sights in Venice within a few steps. The price seemed fair for the season we were traveling in. I am very happy with our stay. I had a great experience and found the apartment to be really convenient.
Location was excellent, near to Piazza San Marco, but also very quiet. Beds were comfy and the apartment had everything we needed. I was very impressed by the little extras provided - tea and coffee sachets, toiletries etc. Things you might expect at a hotel but not necessarily an apartment
Excellent hotel, top level services, very nice interior design entirely redone by a talented architect, in an old and very known Venice hospice. Location is perfect to explore Venice, very near to the Piazza San Marco but not in a too crowded place. Beds are very confortable, bedroom food is excellent (one of the best I ever had), included visit to Murano by free taxi boat is also a plus.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend
