Beautiful boutique hotel however big issue was the mosquitoes. Hotel staff helped with a plug in, but all four of us covered in bug bites after staying here 3 nights. Sleep was difficult as I kept waking up to swat mosquitoes.

Piazza San Marco
If you want to dig a little deeper into Agrigento’s impressive history, this is the place to come. The Regional Archaeological Museum is full of ancient artifacts from the area’s Hellenic past – each one supported by a fascinating back story. It’s the perfect complement to visiting the Valley of the Temples.

What a marvel...but...don't even think of eating/getting coffee here unless you understand: coffee is c. 10Euro...but walk thru, peak in the windows, stroll around listening to the music, feel the ambiance and then hit the narrow walkways for real food (read reviews...touristy places can have awful food...there are plenty of great restaurants if you search)

It is always full of people, even at midnight. Put on your patience hat and you will be surprised how fast the lines move. No matter what time of day I visit, I am always surprised by something wonderful.

Go early in the morning, or in the evening, to avoid tourist overcrowding. Learn when the two high tides are. Book St. Mark's Basilica and Doge's Palace and tours for early admission, and do so well in advance of your trip.

Probably the most beautiful square in the world!
Probably the most beautiful square in the world! Very expensive to get coffee etc on the square itself be prepared to pay upward of 15 euro for a beverage and 25 euro for a cocktail in some cafes, but plenty of places cheaper nearby. I’d recommend going during carnival season as when everyone is wandering around in their costumes it’s like going back in time. The architecture is stunning. You can go inside the basilica and doges palace etc, admission fee approximately €15 per entry and the queues can be long so if it’s something you’re interested in perhaps pre book online to get a better deal and skip the line. The architecture is stunning with so many details everywhere you look but also the line of Murano glass chandeliers looks fab at night.

Visit in the evenings, after the cruise-boat tourists have departed and the pigeons have flown to roost, and see it as it truly is. Just because something is popular doesn't mean it should be avoided. Just don't go during the most crowded times, and see for yourself why it became popular in the first place

Many shops and few restaurants on the walkway around St Marco. They are super expensive. On the side street are shops that are cheaper. You can visit the Clock tower for Euro 10. There is a lift to take you atop. Great views from above. No need to buy advance tickets on line which charge you double the entry cost. The Basilica entrance costs Euro 3 and the cost to the rooftop and museum costs Euro 7. Worth a visit. On the side by the waterfront is the entrance to the Dogi palace. Has impressive paintings and rooms. Entrance is Eur 30. Seniors over 65 pay at half price. Well worth a visit.

The absolute best about this hotel is the location, it is quite literally one tunnel away from Piazza San Marco, Venice's downtown. There's a lot of great gelatto and restaurants in the alley it's on too. The hotel was full of kind-hearted people, really professional and attentive (some of them even spoke Spanish!) and the room was also quite lovely, with a rustic feel to it. We really enjoyed our stay here and I'm sure future travellers will too!
We really liked the hotel. The location of the hotel is close to Piazza San Marco, which is very convenient. The hotel is very clean and nice. The breakfast, despite the fact that it was repeated every day, was simply excellent.
The location was just steps away from the Vaparetto. From there you were able to go anywhere you wanted. You were also a 10 minute walk to Piazza San Marco. There were also a cafe and bakery steps away from the apartment and two restaurants around the corner. Overall just a great place away from the tourist part of Venice. It was a lovely renovated apartment perfect for a couple. GianFranco met us at the dock and acquainted us with the area and his apartment that was well stocked.
Beautiful apartment. Very spacious. Well-located about a 10-minute walk from Piazza San Marco. There was some confusion about our arrival date and it was challenging to communicate with the hosts when we arrived, but it was eventually worked out and they did their best to ensure that we got in safely and had what we needed.
Absolutely fantastic location if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of inner Venice. The apartment is huge, so you are getting a lot of value for the money. Gorgeous view a short walk away from the apartment of Piazza San Marco and the Doge's Palace as the cherry on top.
Hotel is just a 2 min walk to Piazza San Marcos and the vaporetto station. Its also a 25 min walk from Ferrovia or 40 min using Vaporetto. Location felt safe to walk and stay; and very centric. Breakfast was really good, tasty and staff is so attentive and helpful; they gave me tips and info about moving around in the city, restaurant recommendations and transportation to nearby attraction like Murano/Burano.
The hotel was walking distance from plenty of cafés, restaurants and gift shops. I also enjoyed how it was a short 10 minute walk from Piazza San Marco.
Best location. 3minutes from Piazza San Marco. The apartment was very charming, clean and with complete amenities. We will appreciate all the little details Veronica prepared to make us feel welcome and at home. Matteo met us and explained everything to us at the start of our stay.
The apartment is beautiful and extremely spacious, perfect for four people. Great location, 20min walk to the train station and pretty close to Piazza San Marco and other attractions. We found coffee, milk, bread and jam in the kitchen, which was a nice touch. We appreciated the option for late check-in, the staff was always nice and accommodating.
I loved that the hotel was only a 4 min walk to the Piazza San Marco, I felt safe to walk around the square in the evening. Also since it was close to a canal getting a water taxi was so easy. The staff were very accommodating and helpful for any questions I had.
