Uffizi Gallery
What makes Florence the epicentre of art? All of it; but specifically the Uffizi Gallery. Its collections cover the ages, but its darlings will always be Renaissance born. You won’t find a better Art History 101 refresher. Hours wilt away inside this U-shaped mansion. The Birth of Venus tops many a best-of list. Better book tickets in advance – the masterworks cause quite a queue.

It is complicated to buy the tickets ahead of time, to get in the right line, and to get the audio to work. After you get in the art highlights are way too crowded. Wonder art made unattractive by poor organization.

Get tickets for 8:15 AM, go with nothing but your camera and don't check your coat. Head directly to the Botticellis, and then to the Da Vinci's, Raphaels and the Michelangelo to enjoy them without the crowd, and then double back for the Gothic paintings. Do NOT make the mistake of pausing to view sculptures on the entrance level. Do NOT get distracted by the Gothic masters. Speed walk to the Botticellis and then the Ninja Turtles or you'll be viewing them across crowds jostling for selfies.

Packed with stunning art work including “Spring” and “The birth of Venus” by Botticelli. We looked at most of the works and spent 3 1/2 hours there. The queues were long, I’d advise prebooking your tickets.

1. DEFINITELY get "skip the line" tickets. 2. Don't forget that you still have to wait in line to exchange the "skip the line" tickets for the admission tickets. 3. Don't forget you then have to wait in line with all the other "skip the line" ticket holders to actually get in. Plan accordingly and enjoy the FABULOUS art!

My second time going: make the reservation, folks!! You want to get in early and take your time. I wish I knew more about the ceilings and walls of the actual building. I must, must, must see for anyone slightly interested in art. I can't wait to return again!

A wonderful place, just a couple of minutes from the Uffizi Gallery. I was lucky to book the room at the last moment, had an amazing large room, very pretty, loved the complimentary chocolates :-) The breakfast was plenty, delicious and nicely arranged by the staff, who were all very friendly. Loved this stay!
the location of the hotel is right in the heart of historical Florence - only few minutes walk from Duomo, Santa Croce, Uffizi Gallery and all other sites to behold! And also only 7 minutes walk to the train station - very convenient in traveling to the next city. Very important detail - there is an elevator in the hotel.
The host was super nice, and the place was a 4-minute walk from the Dome. It was comfortable and really clean for four adults. The host even helped us find nice restaurants and called the Uffizi Gallery for us. I would recommend it to everyone. Everything was great thank you!!
The location was amazing- just at the back of the Uffizi Gallery. Near lots of attractions with bars and restaurants around it. Very cosy and homely with a great little terrace to sit out and have a coffee. Roberta was great to deal with and she was super efficient in all her communications.
Hotel was 10 mins from the main Florence train station. Nice walk along the river to the Uffizi gallery. Nice and clean with friendly staff, they noticed it was my husbands birthday and gave us a voucher for a welcome drink - thank you!
Location is absolutely perfect - with the view on the Palazzo Vecchio and the fountain. Uffizi Gallery is right nearby.
Big and convinient suit, good equipped and nicely decorated.
Breakfast is in your room, you can choose the time when you want it to be delivered and what you would like to eat.
B&B Stupido Hotel is in a fantastic spot in Florence, making it easy to explore the city's main attractions on foot. It’s close to landmarks like Ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi Gallery, and the Duomo, so sightseeing is effortless. The area also has plenty of restaurants, cafés, and shops, giving you a great taste of Florence right outside your door. Plus, public transport is nearby if you want to venture further.
Amazing location that’s right next to the Uffizi gallery and all the main attractions. Quirky and homely decor that not only looks characteristic but also really clean and welcoming. You also receive complimentary water which is a huge plus for me.
Super good! We loved the 3 nights stay here.
* Great location: only 3 minutes walk to both Uffizi Gallery and Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Flower. Sephora, Rayban and a lot of shops just on the opposite of the street. Close to many wonderful restaurants and cafes.
* Warm and helpful staff: Martina makes us feel the hospitality of Florence.
* Spacious, clean and beautifully designed room. We chose the suite with king size bed and sofa, very comfortable for the family of 3.
* Good breakfast. Fresh fruit, lovely deserts.
