The air conditioning is not working so please don’t stay here. We had a massive issue and the manager just said sorry and said he couldn’t do anything about it. We should have been informed about the situation. Why are we paying so much if we do not get the facilities we paid for. 2 out of the 4 nights the air conditioning was not working. I would like a refund of attest 1 night stay back.

Waqoo Shitaderamachi is situated in Tennoji, in Osaka. The accommodation is 500 metres from popular areas such as Tsutenkaku and Shinsekai.

They gave us a free upgrade when we got there and the room was much larger than usual for Japan. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was great and the staff were super helpful and friendly. One of my favorite hotels on my Japan trip.

Great location. Hotel was very modern, and staff very helpful. You have free water fountain and coffee machine. They also let you rent umbrellas when it's raining. The room was nice and comfortable.

    The staffs are very friendly and are willing to give helps. Free coffee and tea near the reception is a big plus. The breakfast also looks good, and costs only 900yen now. They clean the room everyday if you want, unlike other three star hotels, only once every three days.(Very good) It is also close the Nankai Namba station, 7-10mins by walk, and to Nibbonbashi also like 6-8mins. You can store your luggage before and after the check in-out day. The bed is big for one person.

    The hotel is conveniently located very close to Nipponbashi and Namba stations. Kuromon Market is just across the street, and Dotonbori is about an 8-minute walk away. The staff is lovely and polite, and they offer a delicious breakfast. I will definitely stay at this hotel again on my next trip.

    Great new hotel, well located next to Namba Parks and Namba station. Beautifully designed rooms but on the small side (what is normal for Japan). Breakfast is not good, poor service, not enough of refilling the food stations. Book without breakfast.

    Pros - great location & clean room, quite large & Comfortable. Close to Namba station & Dotonbori. Cons - Our washing wouldn't dry as the spot to hang it had no airflow. Had to use the laundromat down the road to dry it. Front door of hotel isn't locked at night so security was lacking. Rooms had good locks so still felt safe.

    Great location for twins arriving in to Namba station. Hotel is unmanned but staff are easily contactable and very helpful. Walking distance to Dotonbori and metro stops to all other parts of Osaka. Staff will also help with sending luggage on to next hotel.

    The hotel is simple but very well located in Dotonbori—you can easily walk around Osaka’s shopping and dining areas. The room was one of the smallest we saw in Japan, very tight, but the bed is comfortable and, at the end of the day, all you want is to arrive and rest. It’s also close to Namba Station, which makes it convenient for visiting nearby or even more distant places.

    Second time I've stayed here. Pretty sure wasn't originally built as a hotel, but I kinda prefer the ambiance to the standard mid-range hotel you'll find in Japan (hallways are open air, a lot of concrete/more industrial feel). Rooms have everything you'd expect, and staff very helpful (held a package for a week for me). ~10 minutes to Namba station and Dontonbori, so everything easily walkable.

    This is a very convenient hotel near the central Namba station. We had a large room, which is rare in Japan. The staff were very friendly and made our stay so much nicer by helping with the washing machine and allowing us to store our luggage over 24 hours, so that we could make a trip to Koyasan without having to carry too many kilos

    The hotel is very close to Namba station, 2 minutes walking you also have Nippombashi station which is extremely convenient.
