The room was huge and clean. It was nice touch to offer complimentary coffee and sake in the afternoon. The staff were incredibly helpful. Although the area isn’t as jam packed with restaurants and other things to do as other areas in Kyoto, we liked the laid back feeling of this area.

We had SUCH a great stay at Mitsui Garden Hotel. The location was wonderful, we were in a trendy area with lots of great shops and so many restaurants, yet it was quiet and chill. There are also some nice museums in the area.
The room itself was perfect, a big room, comfortable beds, clean. We also took advantage of the wash machine, although it was popular with other guests, it helped us get our clothes clean mid-trip.
The staff is super friendly as well.
