Nice boutique hotel in the heart of the action. So many restaurants at your doorstep. Service is outstanding. Every time we had a question we had 3 people to help us. So very nice and helpful.
Rooms were nice and bed very cosy.

Long story short. This place has the potential to be a good hotel, but the management it's very poor.
The building it's modern but it has some big flows...
Rooms could be cleaner. We found hair on the bed sheets, disgusting.
Climatization it's centralized, so you can't manage the temperature in the room. For instance, in April, the room was extremely hot. There's no option to turn the heating off of lowering the temperature. During the day, when the sun was facing our side of the building, it got up to 28 Celsius. Impossible to sleep at night.
Upon request and availability they will give you a mobile AC, but it's some pretty old and noisy stuff.
Other big issue: 20 floors skyscraper, all rooms, only has 2 elevators. So the queue to get the elevator was very long.
Another very bad aspect is that the personal doesn't speaks English and is not willing to help.
Thay had us to pay everything in advance without explaining anything due to their lack of English skills.
Then it turned out that breakfast was starting at 7am (we paid for it in advance 22000 won each) which is also the starting time of most of the activities and excursions in Seoul. So we kindly asked them if they could provide a little take away box or refund the breakfasts and they just said no offering no option.
Not really the treatment you expect when you're paying 230 USD per night in the low season.
Last thing. I don't know who designed the room but the light system is not comfortable. Light control panel on one side of the bed, nothing on the other. So only one person gets to control everything.

Fantastic location as it was close to all the action of the street markets, shops and Department stores.
Staff were helpful and kind.
Amenities such as 24/7 coffee and tea were great, as well as sturdy umbrellas for rainy days.
Purified water system in room was excellent.
Set in Seoul, within 600 metres of Bangsan Market and less than 1 km of Dongdaemun Market, Eight Rest Hostel Jong-ro features free WiFi.

This hotel is conveniently located near the metro and bus station, as well as restaurants and street food stalls. The room was suitable for a family with a toddler, although it was quite small, and we barely had enough space to open our luggage. The shower was separated from the toilet by a thin glass, which didn’t really help keep the toilet and toilet paper dry. On the positive side, the room was clean, and free toiletries were provided. However, the room cleaning service was inadequate, as they offer it once every third night, which we didnt even receive.
Despite the small room, we still had a pleasant stay. The hotel offers free coffee from an automated machine and ramen that you can prepare in the kitchen.
