Amazing place! Excellent staff, very clean and perfect location. Very good and diversified breakfast. Nice rooftop pool area. The only negative is the ongoing work in the rooftop spa/hammam area, which is bothersome if relaxing at the pool or in the room during the day.

Located within a 10-minute walk of Marrakesh Train Station, Fashion Boutique Hotel in Marrakesh features a number of amenities including a terrace, a restaurant and a bar.

It’s a great location, near Gueliz and the Train Station. Walking distance for both. Safe location and very welcoming staff. Many of them female. I was a solo woman traveler. The staff were amazing; professional and super helpful & friendly. Food in the restaurant was also delicious. Great vibe too. Rooms truly very quiet! Highly unusual in Morocco.

For the Marrakech standards, the hotel seems overpriced. While it’s located near the Marrrakesh train station and modern shopping mall (including Carrefour), it’s far from all other tourist attractions. The room was clean and but the bathroom was small like European hotels. The breakfast was like average European chain hotels but not as refined. For example, the sautéed vegetables were not warm. Unlike riads I stayed, they give me a very tiny cup of mint tea instead of a pot, etc.

Souk of the Medina

Plunge headfirst into the hectic hustle and bustle of Marrakech Souk. Selling everything from spices to beautiful Moroccan lamps, this labyrinthine market is a riot of sights, sounds and smells. Be prepared for the stallholders’ persistence and get ready to haggle hard for your bargains – it’s all part of the experience. Book a guide in advance to get the best out of your visit!

A maze full of market stalls and shops, you could end up spending a small fortune as there are so many interesting things to buy from soaps, to oils, lamps, leatherwear, basket ware, taglines, pottery, slippers etc. Use your map apps to get around as you could easily get lost and there's always someone wanting to show you there way for a small or not so small tip. Despite the narrow passages the motorcyclists do rush through so it can be a bit hair-raising at times; always walk on the right.

Interesting stuff to be seen, however the hordes of non-stop motorized scooters and their 2-cycle exhaust fumes quickly distracted and annoyed from what would and could have been a much more pleasant experience. For some reason Rabat is not plagued with this noisy, pushy, dangerous horde of alley roaches.

It's like many other places - shops selling, largely, tat.

It's like many other places - shops selling, largely, tat. However, it's nice to wander around and there are some nice restaurants in the area. One big tip - DO NOT ASK ANYONE ANYTHING. Asking for directions will galvanize the person you ask into action who will take you to where you are trying to find, sometimes trying to show you their brother's spice shop or cousins carpet shop. They will then demand a "gift". Which is money. Learn to keep walking and ignore people or just shake your head. Also. consider a mask as there are so many motorbikes flying around the narrow streets it's just full of two-stroke engine fumes.

Snake charmers are a bit hard seller, watch from a distance if you dont want to be hassled by the charmers they charhe a lot of money for photos and videos. I use my cameras zoom to get a closer view of the snakes..

Do not buy the pomegranate juice from the tall stalls, where men in white on high sell you the supposedly fresh squeezed juice. Instead, go into the Medina and find local stands that press the pomegranate fruits right in front of you, so you know it's 100% no additive juice, at a better price.
