Distinction is always a great place to stay in Dunedin and the restaurant is outstanding. The mushroom entree is a must along with the fillet steak .

    Took hour long tour.

Took hour long tour. House is in original condition and kept absolutely perfect and very well looked after. There is an art tour to view all the paintings monthly. Unfortunately I was not visiting Dunedin at the right time to take this in. This tour is well worth a visit. One hour viewing the house and garden was not nearly enough time. Very sorry to have missed the art tour. But still a great viewing experience. We were a small group of 3 so got royal treatment.

It was well worth the visit - despite trying to find a park.

It was well worth the visit - despite trying to find a park. Is a guided tour so in a group. Could have spent longer looking at things. Great that it has been restored to what it was like when it was built. It is a amazing snapshot of what it was like for the rich to live in Dunedin in the early 1900's.
