Unfortunately, I could not go to my favourite Pub and Restaurant The Craig. There was absolutely no parking in the area at all and I had to give up after the 6th drive around the block for the same outcome. Had dinner at the Creig (Irish bar), beautiful hotpot pie and veges, fire was on staff were great. Recommend this place for its atmosphere and meals. The hostel sits over a large bar with a lot of billiard tables. Seems very popular with the locals and college students studying at the nearby University of Otago. The dorm rooms are typical bunk bed layouts with budget twin mattresses. The bathrooms were reasonably clean and a decent kitchen area. The building is "old" but everything inside this 4 bedroom unit is new and to a very high standard. It is unbelievably comfortable and very well laid out. The kitchen/living room/ dining area combination is perfect. The bathrooms were large and well supplied. The unit was impeccably clean.
