In a prime location in Chiang Mai, POR Thapae Gate provides air-conditioned rooms, free bikes, free WiFi and an outdoor swimming pool.

Excellent location. You can walk to almost everything. ATM, massages, restaurants, pharmacies and local night markets—all on the Main Street and the Sunday market is right there, too. Staff is very patient, welcoming and attentive. Breakfast was fabulous, especially the Thai food. Love the complimentary water, fruits, coffees and ICE. So lovely to come back from a hot day out and grab an iced coffee and local sweet rice/snacks.

This hotel was divine! The design, room quality and wonderful staff was more than we could have asked for. It was like a piece of paradise in Chiang Mai Centre. Located close to the temples and night bazaars we managed everything in walking distance and the rooms were new, super clean and fitted with anything you needed. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. We dined in the room on the last night and the food was amazing, best we had in Chiang Mai. Would recommend for anyone.

A new small hotel just outside of the old city (touristic area) and in a walking distance. It’s located in an internal street so very quite most of the time. When in the room you can be very quite but if outside you’ll hear the cars driving the small streets next to the hotel (it’s the case for any property in the city) I could walk to most of the main places I wanted to see and the staff was very helpful with any question I had (make sure to ask where is walking street every day since it changes) Breakfast is simple with some eggs local Thai dish (changes everyday) some veggies and fruits. Simple but covers you for breakfast. Overall had a very good stay with them and even came back for a second stay after traveling around the area.

    The property was located in the old town walking distance to all the markets, museums and temples and with many shops, restaurants and bars in the neighborhood. Very clean and well maintained facilities. Excellent staff.

    Basically you’re going to love everything the staff is really friendly and they are always taking care of you. I could check in before and it was amazing after a long bus trip from Bangkok. Fred is really friendly and helpful. He offered me coffee in the morning when I was waiting for my trip van. You are going to feel like home. It really worth the price you’re paying and it also has a really nice location, near by the temples and most of the attractions, restaurants and the Tha Pae Gate.

    Our family had a wonderful stay at Villa Thapae. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a perfect location, just a short walk from Tha Pae Gate and many delicious restaurants. We loved the convenience of being able to walk to the night market and bring our food back to our room. The staff were very attentive and provided us with all the necessary utensils. The room was spotless and well-equipped. The small but clean pool was a big hit with our kid, who enjoyed swimming even on cooler days.
