Amazing view right onto hagia sophia. Beautiful room and bathroom. Staff were very helpful. The included breakfast was great. The restaurant connected to the hotel was actually just a cafe which was abit disappointing. Great location but in an expensive area.

The staff there is super friendly, we felt like home. The cleanliness, the location, the food at the restaurant would be other strong points, but what makes this place special are the people who work there. Our one-year-old daughter felt extraordinary, everyone played with her.

1. The location is excellent. Neat clean hotel. Maybe not 9/10 in cleanliness. Around 6/10. The corroded metal would show in door hinges, in the bathroom.
2. The staff is not very helpful. If you walk in struggling to carry the luggage. They will wait right at the reception.
3. They miscommit. On booking.com they mentioned the room has 1 full bed. In reality, they had joined two single beds (not twin beds. Single beds). To cover up the gap. They used one big bed sheet on two single beds. While sleeping at night, when our back kept bending in the middle, we realised what they had done. To top it off, the staff knew exactly what the problem was when I briefly mentioned it.
4. Upon changing my room, they called me again asking to switch back from the apparent upgrade they had offered to compensate.
5. The bed mattresses are old. Your back is in a u shape. It hurts during the day.
6. Breakfast qty is nice. Although in terms of quality the can improve the main 3 items they have for Breakfast. A fried roll isn't nice in the morning. Besides the 3 main dishes they have salads, fruits, jam chocolate yoghurt etc. For 150 usd per night ,they can do better seeing how other hotels are managing.
7. A few members were helpful. They arranged the taxi. Sent a wake up call just in case and even followed up to make sure we were reaching on time.

The staff was really nice and helping me decorate the room for my partner’s birthday. Everything was set up beautifully.

Basilica Cistern
This cavernous space is the largest remaining Byzantine cistern in Istanbul. Constructed in the 6th century, it originally provided water filtration for the Great Palace of Constantinople, and continued to supply the Topkapi Palace from 1453 until the modern day. Opened to the public in 1987, you can now explore its atmospheric walkways and marvel at the intricacy of its decorative, water-worn columns.

Another interesting place that doesn't merit the long wait, the high ticket price. This is only an hour's visit at most.
Walk around this glorious city instead and soak up the atmosphere. I love places like the Cistern but this price doesn't match the experience and I can't stand being packed into a place with huge crowds of tourists.

Atmospheric.
Atmospheric. Not too busy when we visited, but you won't be alone. Admission fee but worth it. Exit is obvious, entrance around the corner. If there's a queue, say you want to pay with card and you might beat it, as we did.

An amazing example of how the re-use of old structure has aa long, long history. If you have small children, remember that CO2 is heavier than air, and they might need to be carried for some of the way if they feel a little dizzy.

its a must visit place as while looking at it one wonders the engineering and architect of that time and the kind of efforts which were made to create a nearly hidden, massive cistern. the ticket price of of 350 lira is a bit steep but since Sultanamet ( Blue Mosque) and Hagia Sofia( now when its a mosque) have no tickets, its OK. all are close by and could be visited in all in 2-3 hrs..

Small cozy hotel with excellent staff in the heart of Sultanahmet. Very impressive location near the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Basilica Cistern. Breakfast is very varied. Free tea and coffee with pastries in the afternoon.

Taxi is also available. Crusing in Bosphorus is 10 to 15 min walk. Grand bazar one KM walking.distance. within 10 meter radius you will find Turkish restaurants. Finally, "The Stuffs" they are so helpful and well coming. They will fulfill all your requirements with their best Effort.
Loved the hotel. Stayed 4 nights.
Great location, very close to the Bosphorus.
Room 5 is on the top floor and has a balcony which provides great views over the river and on to the other side.
Easy walking distance to plenty of riverside restaurants, as well as sigts such as the Hagia Sophia mosque and Basilica Cistern.
Basic, but comfortable. Very good [real time] communication from the manager when we were struggling to find the hotel.
Our hotel stay was incredible! The rooms were so pretty and the bathrooms were amazing. The location was a short walking distance to many tourist attractions (Grand Bazaar, Basilica Cistern, the blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia Mosque and many shops/restaurants). The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special and memorable. Breakfast was also great with a varied choice of hot food and pastries. We would 100% stay again next time we are in Istanbul.
Location was exceptional, central to the main tourist destinations (Aya Sofia Mosque, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace Museum, Basilica Cistern, etc), but also quiet. Great views from the roof bar, which wasn't actually open (off season) but which the bar steward was keen to share with us. Breakfast very good except for the coffee. My room was very pleasant and comfortable. Good shower, etc. Warm despite the snowy weather outside!
Perfect location of a small cosy hotel if you want to walk to the best places in Istanbul (Aya Sofia, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, Basilica Cistern)
Very helpful staff ready to answer all your needs.
The hotel has a very good position as it is near to main attractions as Topkapi,Grand Bazaar,Hagia Sophia,Blue Mosque and Basilica Cistern. The hotel staff was amazing and they also have a little Starbucks coffee shop with a a large selection of drinks. If you are looking for somewhere nice to stay wich is also close to attractions you should give it a try,if we are ever again back in Istanbul we will choose this hotel again.
The beautiful place close walking distance to Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace ,Hagia Sophia , Grand Bazaar&Basilica Cistern. We appreciated the open-air terrace with tables and chairs. From here, there are views to the Hagia Sophia and Basilica Cistern and the rich view of rooftops, minarets, and domes. Mr Harun was an amazing host and the staff were wonderful et very friendly.
