Good hotel, great location, tasty breakfast. Only few minor comments: blanket is a bit small for the bed (but the bed was huge so it was not a big issue) and the hamam experience was not the best (sauna was nice but the hamam was not a really welcoming room and the water hose was broken so bench/floor were too hot)

The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive throughout our stay, from check-in to check-out. The restaurant offers a generous 20% discount, which is a wonderful bonus. Don't miss the daily breakfast – it's definitely a highlight! We highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Istanbul.

Basilica Cistern
This cavernous space is the largest remaining Byzantine reservoir in Istanbul. Constructed in the 6th century, it originally provided water filtration for the Great Palace of Constantinople, and continued to supply the Topkapi Palace from 1453 until the modern day. Opened to the public in 1987, you can now explore its lit walkways and be amazed by the decorative, water-worn columns.

Another interesting place that doesn't merit the long wait, the high ticket price. This is only an hour's visit at most.
Walk around this glorious city instead and soak up the atmosphere. I love places like the Cistern but this price doesn't match the experience and I can't stand being packed into a place with huge crowds of tourists.

Atmospheric.
Atmospheric. Not too busy when we visited, but you won't be alone. Admission fee but worth it. Exit is obvious, entrance around the corner. If there's a queue, say you want to pay with card and you might beat it, as we did.

The Basilica Cistern in Istanbul is indeed a remarkable historical site, and it has been used for cultural and artistic events like Night Shift (cultural performances, concerts, art exhibitions or other creative activities). I recommend checking the official website of the Basilica Cistern

An amazing example of how the re-use of old structure has aa long, long history. If you have small children, remember that CO2 is heavier than air, and they might need to be carried for some of the way if they feel a little dizzy.

its a must visit place as while looking at it one wonders the engineering and architect of that time and the kind of efforts which were made to create a nearly hidden, massive cistern. the ticket price of of 350 lira is a bit steep but since Sultanamet ( Blue Mosque) and Hagia Sofia( now when its a mosque) have no tickets, its OK. all are close by and could be visited in all in 2-3 hrs..

Nice hotel, near Yenikapi station, near the tramway line, so you can go anywhere. There are lot of fast food and restaurants near, supermarkets. You can reach by the main street all tourist sites - Blue mosque, Agya Sofia, Basilica Cisterna.
The location was amazing - close to The Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, the Basilica Cistern, and Topkapi Palace, as well as markets and a main road with access to the tram system, and restaurants and cafes. The bed was super comfortable to me, and the view was nice from the balcony. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and really made me feel at home.
The location was unrivaled for a short stay in Instanbul to see the key sites in Sultanamet- it is next to the Topaki Palace wall, one block from the entrance gate. (You can see Aga Sophia from there also, and it is just a few minutes walk to the Blue Mosque and Basilica Cisterns (stunning).
The staff could not have been more charming - Rasim in particular- and you can not forget Rambo and the rooftop breakfast room with views over the Bosphorus.
Ali and Tarkan, the 2 brothers who run the hotel are fantastic, super friendly, responsive and helpful. Everyday at breakfast, they would help plan out our day so that we got the most out of our short trip to Istanbul. The hotel is very close to all the main Sultanahmet attractions like the Blue Masjid, Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern and Topkapi Palace.
Staff are very helpful. Breakfast is good. Location is great, just right next to tram and a short walking distance to Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and Basilica Cistern
The hotel is located in a walking distance from the historical center of the city. Hagia Sophia, Topkapi and Basilica Cistern are in 5min walking distance while for the Grand Bazaar and the Egyptian Bazaar it takes 15min. Very friendly staff, always willing to assist. Exceptional quality on the huge breakfast buffet, all thanks to Erhan. Very nice view on Bosporus from the Queb Rooftop Restaurant while enjoying delicious meals. I'm sorry I missed Saturday's live music.
The hotel is just 5min walking distance from Hagia Sophia, Topkapi and Basilica Cistern, very nice location. Every morning, a huge breakfast buffet was waiting for us. Thank you Erhan for making sure nothing was missing.
Location was very convenient. Walking distance to Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern and Hagia Sophia and many other things to see and experience close to the hotel. Hotel staff was extremely helpful and kind. Jakob was very attentive and answered questions and requests quickly and in a professional manner. He is a great member of the staff and made our stay there very pleasant.
Only 1 word that comes to my mind when rating Aristocrat hotel is Superb.Every one at the hotel Mekan at the lobby,Erkin,Rohat,Ahmet at the reception always ready to greet you and help you.Specially the Owner Mr Emrah is very polite and nice person. The Hotel is centrally located at Sultanahmet walking distance to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, topkapi Palace and basilica cistern is 4 minutes only.Must stay at this hotel if you are planning to visit Istanbul.
Great service inspired by the manager and owner Mr Harun, whom we met in person several times throughout our stay in the hotel. We celebrated a birthday here and everyone was always very kind and attentive - the kind of staff that goes out of their way to make your stay memorable. Thank you!
Great location also, within minutes from Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern, Hafiz Mustafa and some great massage service.
The breakfast was delicious and quite diverse.
