Everything was almost 10/10. Don’t think you can find a better location (maybe avoid if you aren’t athletic? it’s on a very steep hill), less than 10 minutes walk to the Hyppodrome, Hagia Sophia etc.
Rooms are quite big, even though there’s lots of noise outside, the windows are very thick, almost soundproof, the bed is comfortable, and its extremely clean.
The breakfast is also fantastic. Too bad they only had carrot cake the first two mornings we were there, it was a highlight, almost on par with Gulluoglu baklava (joking, but it was pretty good).

Historical & busy bazar but beautiful bazar with lots of variety of accessories & jewelry. I saw people haggling to get discounts. Very hospitable shopkeepers! We were served with differnt delicious teas like apple tea, ginger tea, & pomegranate tea. Along with dry fruits & deserts. I enjoyed shopping there. Great place to visit! Prces were a bit better in Taksim square area. Must try Amazing deserts at Hafiz Mustafa shops.

Great place to visit and make some deals 🤣.
Great place to visit and make some deals 🤣. Do not dress expensive, unless you are buying expensive pieces of gold. Dress modestly, since the sellers look at you and form their prices accordingly. The first price is always too high, you have to bargain. Put a price lower than your final price and meet in the middle. Always apologize in a way that you do not want to offend him, but you respectfully give him you price. You are often invited to the shop to sit and drink tea, do not feel obliged to buy smtg although you drank the tea. Also, they are presenting you the goods (jackets, coats etc), usually you can not go through the staff by yourself. If you are buying gold, mind the clarity. It's usually 14 K (75% gold), while in other Europan countries it's 24K (99,9%), that's the reason why it seems cheaper...

It was nicer than it looked liked in the YouTube and it was a lot of shops. They had special shops and took you to another place in a closed room. As a lone traveler as a girl I didn’t felt so safe of course but they treated me well. I bought a lot of purses and Tees and souvenirs. The food may be spicy for some Scandinavians but I bought menthol pills. It’s a Muslim country but I didn’t dress so revealing like some countries. I used hoody and pants. No revealing outfits. I think that if women had to cover up, that makes people think how Muslim men are. But they were not sleazy or grabbing me like a pig! They were polite and gave me a lot of compliments wich I’m not used to in my country 🤦🏼♀️

My trip to Istanbul was not enjoyable due to feeling that "all eyes were on me", the grand bazaar was confusing and easy to get lost in, everything looked the same. I felt vulnerable and stayed in the room for the rest of my stay. Thought the staff at the hotel were very helpful.

Very big. Busy. Lots of small stalls.
Very big. Busy. Lots of small stalls. Most don’t have prices so haggling is the order of the day, Offer half of what they ask for, then you should arrive somewhere in the middle. Don’t start haggling if you don’t want to buy in the first place. A few show prices so no need to haggle with these as these are fixed price. Watch your handbag.

It was very interesting to see old style market with hundreds of shops. Looks very cool and has an interesting atmosphere. HOWEVER! Always a lot of people. If you're not good with crowds, you might not be able to move around or breathe at all. Also, everything is INSANELY overpriced, which makes Grand Bazaar only worth a visit if you're in for atmosphere & to look at cool old place.

The hotel's location is really nice and within walking distance to Hagia Sophia, Sultan Ahmet Mosque and Grand Bazaar. The rooms are small but clean. The breakfast could have been better with more options. The staff is very courteous and helpful. All in all we had a very nice stay at this hotel.
Walkable distance to all the main attractions of Istanbul: Haghia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar etc. many eateries and shops outside the hotel.
Really nice and helpful staff. Especially the gay on the reception with nickname James Bond 😊The hotel is small, but with very comfortable and clean rooms. The location is very good. Only 10 min by walk from Grand Bazaar. In addition the parking is next to the hotel and it’s free of charge. We recommend hotel Prag for Istanbul stay.
Our hotel stay was incredible! The rooms were so pretty and the bathrooms were amazing. The location was a short walking distance to many tourist attractions (Grand Bazaar, Basilica Cistern, the blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia Mosque and many shops/restaurants). The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special and memorable. Breakfast was also great with a varied choice of hot food and pastries. We would 100% stay again next time we are in Istanbul.
It was the best hotel experience I have ever had.
It is brand new and comfortable. The room was exactly like the photos. The staff were helpful and smiley. It is in walking distance to the highlights of Istanbul. Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar and more. Special thanks to housekeeping and reception desk.
Perfect location of a small cosy hotel if you want to walk to the best places in Istanbul (Aya Sofia, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, Basilica Cistern)
Very helpful staff ready to answer all your needs.
The hotel has a very good position as it is near to main attractions as Topkapi,Grand Bazaar,Hagia Sophia,Blue Mosque and Basilica Cistern. The hotel staff was amazing and they also have a little Starbucks coffee shop with a a large selection of drinks. If you are looking for somewhere nice to stay wich is also close to attractions you should give it a try,if we are ever again back in Istanbul we will choose this hotel again.
Loved the view from room 501. The hotel was in a great location for the old city and Grand Bazaar. The whole hotel looked very clean. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice. Aziz on the front desk was friendly and offered great suggestions for Turkish bath
and a genuine Turkish barber. We would definitely recommend Hotel Nena and recommend it to friends visiting Istanbul.

Grand Bazar is just for visiting not for shopping as costs are higher here. The funny thing is that everything is about negotiation in shops or on the streets. You will have a big surprise that the final price you are paying it is with 30% - 50% less. I.e. Turkish yoyo on the street is 5TL but if you offer 2.5 TL you're gone have it :) Good look.

The atmosphere.
The atmosphere. You can find most of these things in other places but not in market places with such heady atmosphere as in Istanbul. It is an experience to spend time in Grand Bazaar even if you buy nothing. Shopping areas in India, my country, are equally interesting but they tend to be dirty and full of traps like potholes and overflowing drains. Istanbul has the atmosphere without these problems. The place we liked most was Arasta Bazaar near the Blue Mosque.
