The best parts about Hotel Mest were the young men at the reception desk. They were always pleasant, gave us water and helped us in many ways. The second best thing was the breakfast -- we've never seen such a spread of savory and sweet offerings -- yogurt, eggs, meats and cheeses, stuffed vegetables, about five different olives, half a dozen sweet offerings, a ton of different types of bread, fruit and fruit juice -- it was incredible.

Livro is a boutique kind, modern, spacious hotel. We received VIP treatment since arrival. Ms. ELIF was lovely to us and eager to support our travel requirements. She even gave us her transport card, and explained patiently and in detail how and where to go.. we never used it! Hotel location is excellent. We walked everywhere!
The room we stayed in was very clean, spacious, definitely an upgrade ( thank you!!). As two women traveling on our own. We felt very safe and taken care off with kindness.
A very special thanks and recognition to the manager, Ms Hasibe.. she’s always on top of everything, from breakfast ( which is wonderful: Turkish and European dishes!), to the reception. We feel honor to have received gifts and kindness from you.. you made our already special trip, Unique. We shall come back!

Smaller Bazar, but better prices than at the Grand Bazar.
Smaller Bazar, but better prices than at the Grand Bazar. Same rules apply, bargaining is the key. More diversified goods, some gold, lots of silver and lots of fake goods, but the good ones are also expensive, ranging from few hundreds to 1.000,00 €. Great furs, prices from 500€ and more.

Men here are very polite and they know service on a top level. First time I was here I was heartbroken and the Turkish men made me forget about my ex asap. You feel that the men takes care of you mentally and physically. I couldn’t carry heavy bags bc of my operation and was on heavy pills. They was really really caring! I found all I wanted and all I needed instantly. They’re not selfish at all, like many people now a days!

Crowded but accessible and so much fun!
Crowded but accessible and so much fun! Don’t let the crowds put you off… the Turks are very friendly and easy going. So go with the flow and look for Turkish Delight made with honey in place of sugar ( travel tip).

Another place where you wonder at the quantity of the products. The variety in any one actual spice is way beyond my experience. Lucky if I have the spice in the pantry let alone 6 types for different purposes.

Great atmosphere & architecture - go here rather than the Grand Bazaar which is by contrast tatty. Just seeing all the (similar) stalls with turkish delights, fruit, nuts and spices piled high is a real treat!

People are talking about Spice Bazaar! Explore guest hotel reviews featuring "Spice Bazaar"
I loved the location. It was perfect. It was accessible to public transportation. We also walked to the Blue Mosque, the Grand Bazaar, the spice bazaar, and the Hagia Sophia. Mostly, we loved how special the staff made us feel. They were just kind people, smiling, holding the door, always accommodating. They quickly cleaned our rooms everyday.
We booked this hotel because of its central location to the Old City Sultanahmet area. Easy access to all the attractions, especially the Hagia Sophia and Spice Bazaar within a walking distance. Great hotel with helpful staff. Great breakfast too!
