Friendly staff, check-in could have been streamlined a bit better, but overall okay. The room and lobby make up for the only small complaint. Nice ambiance and minimal, but yet effective rooms. The room is nice and dark.

Great location but incredibly quiet. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and clean. Staff welcoming and friendly. The small buffet breakfast good and sufficient to start your day. Good care was taken of our luggage after check out until we departed to the airport. Our room was lovely, with a separate sitting area. Everywhere was very clean and well maintained.

People are talking about Ferry Building! Explore guest hotel reviews featuring "Ferry Building"
Location is good either you visit for business or sightseeing. Hotel is close to ferry building with food market, Chinatown and North Beach, all in walking distance. Also area is safe and quiet at nights. Its not sketchy like Union Square or Market Street. You may see few homeless. Hotel offers amenities beyond 3 stars. Room was clean and packed with microwave, fridge and coffee machine. Also there are empty bottles and water dispensers on each floor so you can refill it anytime.
The location was excellent as it was near muni, Bart and the tram. It is an old art deco building and as a solo traveller I felt completely safe. The staff were exceptional and very helpful. Edward was outstanding as he advised me on the best bus route 30 to the presidio area. He was very funny and knowledgeable about the city and went out of his way to help. The hotel was within walking distance to Powell street station and the ferry building. It was close to sfmoma as well which had fantastic exhibitions on.
Rooms were clean and well-maintained
Nice to have complementary tea&coffee in the lobby in the morning and there's a mini buffet with snacks etc. available for purchase at the lobby, this is very convenient as in SF (unlike NYC) there isn't a bodega/CVS on every corner
Location is pretty convenient - nice walk towards the Ferry Building from the hotel and also convenient to get to other neighbourhoods via rideshare
We spent in Marines' Memorial Club & Hotel 5 nights during bussiness trip to San Francisco. The location in city center was great, good connection to the airport (via BART), also quite close to Embarcadero, Ferry Building and Powell Station (start of Cable Car). Rooms were clean, there was coffee, tea, water available. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. The breakfast menu was varied. There is beautiful view from the hotel restaurant. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Location - close to BART station, Chinatown, Ferry Building. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was big (free upgrade) and clean, bed was comfortable. Internet was fast.
Location was good, being very close to the Ferry Building and plenty of bus line options. Free Nespresso (good quality) coffee and water bottles in the hallways. Some of the staff (the morning shift ones) were very friendly. The equipment in the fitness center is good.
We selected Nob Hill as our neighborhood for our stay in San Francisco, and this hotel proved to be an outstanding choice. Located just a few minutes' walk from both Chinatown and Union Square, it is also conveniently situated near the Ferry Building and other city attractions.
The hotel's highlight is undoubtedly its breakfast, which is both diverse and generous, served in their inviting pub area. The surrounding neighborhood is notably quiet and safe, providing a serene atmosphere to unwind after a day of exploration.

Rent a bike from near the Ferry Building, bike through Market St., go west through the Hippie street, Golden Gate Park, then up the west coast alongside the beach, up the hill to Golden Gate Bridge, then either cross the bridge and bike more or down the eastern side along the Piers and back to Ferry Building to return the bike. You can also take a Ferry back from beyond the bridge if you are too tired. Full day trip totally worth it!
