Recently renovated. The rooms were very nice, great location next to the park. The only gripe is the facility charge . There is very little common space and no breakfast is provided for that charge/.

I was not sure who owned the property.
I was not sure who owned the property. My family made a special trip to visit the garden by taking 1 hoir train ride to the garden. Since it was 2 days before Christmas the weather was not cold and windy. At the gate we found out it would cost us around $150 for our family to to see a garden where no flowers blooming and everything looked grey. Bu honest mistake we entered a building to use the bathroom. Behold there were 4 staff members standing outside accused us trespassing. We had the most horrible customer service experience ever.

The rooms are spacious and the beds are so comfortable. Walking distance of 5th Ave, Times Square, Grand Central Station, Rockefeller Center, and more. On my stay, I walked to Madison Square Garden and that was only a 20 min walk. This has been my second time staying at the Gotham and I have enjoyed both stays.
The rooms were small but clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was super convenient and included a gluten free option (overnight oats) that we had every morning!
The hotel is located really conveniently nearby two subway stations, in an area with tons of restaurants/cafes/shops to choose from and within walking distance to the Madison square garden. Overall a great spot for our trip.
I was in town for the Big East Tournament at Madison Square Garden. The hotel was in great proximity to get to and from the arena. It was also close to subway stations for easy transportation around the city. The room is small but completely adequate. It was clean and comfortable. The hotel facilities were clean.
Convenient location near Times Square and Madison Square Garden, plus close to public transportation. Room was comfortable in size. Although it was near the elevator, I didn't hear any noise.
