Stayed in a Queen room that was well-appointed and much larger than similar rooms in other nearby hotels. Only issue was slightly noisy plumbing. Loved the bar and free fries at happy hour!!

I stayed in this place over a decade ago with my family, and while this time my room was smaller, it was much nicer, cleaner, and more modern. Also I had my own bathroom - 17 years ago we shared one bathroom to two rooms, dorm style. Even the smallest 'new' rooms are well organized, if a teensy bit like 'tiny house', but hotel style. Rooms are very clean, supplied with plenty of towels, and I think I had 5 newish pillows, nothing flat or deflated.
This hotel is 492 feet from the 79th street metro station and 1066 feet from the Museum of Natural History. It features on-site spa services and free WiFi.
Greeted by custom artwork, an original fireplace and a 1920’s elevator system in lobby, guests at this century-old hotel in Upper West Side will be 2133 feet from the Central Park.

The location is excellent, especially if one does not care to be right in the hub-bub of the touristy sites.
Hotel has clean rooms. We stayed at a Superior Queen room.
In a previous trip we stayed at a Superior King with Broadway View, which was much nicer (and more expensive).
The neighborhood is very nice, with many eating options within a 2-3 block radius in any direction.
