I had a wonderful stay at the Wallace Hotel. The room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed with fast Wi-Fi, ample closet space, and a very comfortable bed. The lobby was elegant and inviting, and the reception staff were professional and courteous. I also enjoyed the delicious and beautifully presented food. I highly recommend this hotel.

The dining room for breakfast and dinner was superb
Times Square
Alive with billboards and brightly-lit screens, Times Square thrums with energy. Yellow taxis fly past and tourists pause awestruck to snap photos on their phones. The bustle of New York summed up in one crossroads, every element competes for your attention. It may be often recreated for film and TV, but nothing beats seeing this iconic location up-close.

why is this even mentioned?
why is this even mentioned? crowded, often dirty, unsurprising and very touristy. if you like neon well maybe but it’s rather gross. exciting maybe for people who’ve never traveled. if you want to be awestruck, go to the 9/11 memorial.

Superb place at any time during the day.
Superb place at any time during the day. Specially after 3:00 PM when most theaters release all the available seats at the amazing shows for that evening.
Great place to stop and have something to eat after the shows.
Amazing feeling of a city that has a hard time to sleep at night.

Not really very much to see other than buildings with lights on it was noisy messy and not actually a square. We thought it would be a bit like leister square in London but it literally was just some building s we nearly walked past it.

Times Square is something that has to be seen to truly appreciate. However, be prepared to be overwhelmed with the amount of people and the sensory overload! Don't pose for pictures with or even interact with the characters in costumes, unless you intend to pay them. If you want to see Times Square at the least stressful time, go at 3am. And the best food in NYC is NOT in Times Square.

This hotel is incredible value for money, considering the location. The location is excellent, close to Penn Station and Central Park as well as the Empire State building and Times Square. The hotel is clean, beds are comfy and it is quiet.
I've seen some comments say the rooms are small, but it's New York! Go out, why are you staying in your room? Prices in the bar for a drink are above average, even for New York so suggest planning to spend your evening elsewhere.
a regular hotel for 3 days is perfect. Great location, but the hotel itself is nothing special. Quite a large room by New York standards, amazing view from the window onto Times Square
The location is simply incredible. Right by Times Square and the main subway stations, you can get anywhere in New York very quickly. From the Port Authority in the next block you can even get the Uber Shuttle to JFK for less than the train would cost. The hotel is modern and well designed. The room had a nice view and was comfortable, and was ready well before check in time. Staff were friendly.
Stayed in for 2 wonderful nights in New York.
The hotel was 10 mins from Times Square and 1 min away from Madison Square Gardens.
My room was very clean and as it was on the 7th floor I didn’t get much of a view of the city but the connivence of the location made up for that.
They have a beautiful lobby and loads of staff to help out with any questions and for the security of the guests and staff.
This hotel is absolutely stunning. The location is perfect, bang in the centre of Times square.
The staff were all very friendly and very courteous and professional. Our room was exceptional. We got a free upgrade to a king suite. It was large and comfortable with an amazing shower and very cosy bed.
We will definitely book again when we revisit New York.
- Excellent Location! Perfect for exploring New York! Just a short walk to Broadway shows, Central Park, and Times Square.
- The small kitchen area was convenient for storing food and getting fresh cold water.
- The hostel was generally well-maintained and clean.
Location was great as we were going to a few broadway shows and Times Square is very interesting for first time visiting New York
Hotel restaurants were great and the grab and go breakfast was convenient
Love the decor and nostalgia of the hotel
Second time booking The Time as we wasn’t able to get to New York previously, although the reservation stated no refunds the hotel was understanding and immediately refunded us for the first “stay”. Comfortable rooms, surprisingly quiet considering it is on Times Square.
Door staff and reception staff were amazing, especially the door staff helping us when our taxi for the airport didn’t show.
Rooms and hotel facilities well cleaned daily, respected your privacy if you did not want to be disturbed.
Comfort and cleanliness was great. The location is excellent, literally on Times Square yet you don't hear any noise from the street at all..The staff are really lovely and very friendly. I have been to New York lots of times and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel.
The staff is super friendly, the bed is very comfortable and the shower is great! Good breakfast and the location is just perfect. Very close to the subway, Times Square and Broadway in general! Not to mention the breathtaking views from the rooftop! Definitely one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in in New York City.

Choose a substantial section of the city, say Lower Manhattan, plot the sights you wish to see on a map so that you do not have to retrace your steps, take public transit to your starting point and begin your exploration. We started at the 9/11 Memorial and worked our way north, including City Hall, the Merchant's House, Chinatown, the Bowery, Washington Square, the White Horse Tavern, the High Line and the Garment District. Of course, there were all kinds of surprises, which added to the experience. We began at 10 am and were back at our Times Square hotel by 4 pm.

Times Square is very busy as are most of the main tourist attractions, but the hop on hop off busses are great or if you don't mind walking choose another street other than broadway and it is far easier to walk down

Visit the city during the week. You could visit locations without being mobbed. Times Square on the weekend (first weekend in June) was a zoo - too crowded.
