The tropical vibe, jungle proximity, verandah and kitchen facilities. Patrick and Sue are great hosts with a wealthy library of travel photos and stories worthy of anyone's time.
Of course the cockatoo Fritz didn't disappoint us!!!
Ideal for nature lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and have kitchen facilities. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than vacation homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
Very nice place to stay. In the evening you can see a lot of mammals on the road in front of the lodge. At day time you can see a lot of birds and also the Musky Rat kangoroo. They also have a very nice kakadu as a pet.
Sue and Patrick are fantastic hosts. I was travelling to Cairns the next day from further west and the Lodge was the perfect stop. I really enjoyed having the breakfast tray so I could cook my breakfast when ready the next morning. The surrounds are quiet and very peaceful.
