It was a peaceful escape trip. I am satisfied with my family. Owner Kathy asked me to prepare a baby cot and a high chair for my baby. She made home baked bread for our breakfast. It was so kind of her.
Just one thing I missed was I couldn't use the pool because it was too cold for 3 days with wind from the mountain. But I heard the owner is preparing a heat pump soon. I will still come again to enjoy all things like the pool & board games, private tennis court, and cubby house with a slide for my children.
I wish there was a bathtub. Luckily, I brang a baby bathtub. So it's all good!

We found the room to be poorly maintained. Dust and cobwebs hung from the ceiling and fan. A thick layer of dust on the fridge. Messy paint work on the decking and grout pens in the shower. My partner has allergies and was uncomfortable. Upon leaving I stripped our sheets to find the mattress protector very dirty as well.

I really enjoyed my stay at Holly Lodge. I had the Garden Suite which had multiple windows with plants outside each one, this really created a feeling of being on a break from life in the City! Steve the owner/manager was extremely friendly and helpful even giving me a lift to my friend's wedding very close by since I didn't have a car and the roads do not have footpaths! The room had everything I needed. Most importantly the bed was extremely comfortable. The shower was also very powerful. Everything was very clean. It was great to have a kitchen area with fridge, microwave, kitchenware and cutlery. Great heater as well since the evenings had started to get cold. Block out blinds made the room very dark which was great for a good night's sleep!
