Loved the focus on wildlife spotting and nature, the look and feel of the eco-lodge (paintings of wildlife, outdoor space, open kitchen), really enjoyed talking with Bella about the wildlife we were seeing and where to go out looking. Also loved the complimentary coffee/tea and milk, free fruit from the garden, as well as the communal kitchen.

The 180 degree windows made for an immersive experience. The breakfast made our stay extra special. It was quiet and peaceful. And the jacuzzi tub was big enough for myself and my 6’2” husband!

Located in Malanda, 15 miles from Curtain Fig National Park, Sharlynn by the River has accommodations with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, free WiFi, room service, and a 24-hour front desk.

Sharlynn by the River is in a beautiful and peaceful setting and sitting outside on the private verandah was an absolute treat. The cabin was spacious and had everything we needed. The provided breakfast food was excellent and plentiful - we had more than enough for our two breakfasts. Pam and John were very welcoming hosts as was Charlie.

Don’t know about Williams Lodge as we were allocated one of the Bushland Cottages without consultation. We didn’t realise until we arrived.

Everything! The host is wonderful, she’s lovely and helpful. The lodge is so well stocked. It has a cosy fire, beautiful dining area and lounge areas inside and out. The kitchen is brilliantly stocked. We loved the puzzles and games. The rooms are comfy and the bathrooms were impeccable. The area is wonderful for seeing duck-billed platypuses and tree kangaroos.

Perfect! Our hosts were lovely and informative of the local area. It was the most peaceful beautiful accomodation I have stayed. The village is walking distance from Williams Lodge and the cafe and shops are run by lovely staff, I highly recommend a visit to Williams Lodge, you will not be disappointed.

Williams Lodge is a beautiful, historic building. It is set in a lovely garden in a charming village. The room had lots of thoughtful touches such as complimentary chocolates. Gina was a great host - very helpful but not intrusive. The perfect place for a reviving retreat.
