CyprusLocation is perfect: jungle, quiet, no mosquitos, very beautiful natural pool with red/brown water, birds, agouties, marmosette monkeys, beautiful private river beach. The stay and program is carefully and thoughtfully organized. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Good food, including breakfast, good coffee. The bungalow is rather modest, but good, with comfortable bed.

The food was good and plentiful (you can pay for lunch and dinner separately, only breakfast was included in the price). The lodge staff are very nice, but only speak Portuguese (and maybe a little Spanish). There are some English speaking guides there and Frank, who did the tours with us, is great. I particularly loved the shampoos and soaps and the breakfast is simply exceptional and delicious. The staff are all very welcome and try to accommodate all our request to their best abilities. Our way back I tried a different hotel close-by that's supposed to be cheaper and have better reviews, huge mistake on my part! Our room was extremely clean. I am a vegetarian and there were good vegetarian options to choose from.
