You get what you pay for it's a modest little place on the river in a very touristy area. Bedrooms are meh showers are meh. Facilities are average at best but it's Switzerland I guess 200-250 dollars is all that gets you per night lol

breakfast was good with lots of options. The personal were outstanding -willing to answer multiple questions, having tickets available for things we wanted to do, and providing a place to hold your luggage for you before and after checking in.

The host was so nice. This property is close to an area where cows are brought down from the Alps. It was so amazing to see this event in person.
Ideal for nature lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and have kitchen facilities. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than vacation homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
Amazing views! Clean and comfy rooms. joshua was great and as was a couple of other young staff. But no one told us there was a discount for the chair lift going down. The ticket operator informed us and I had to go back to the hotel to request for it. even then I had to go back to the lodge twice as they didn’t give me the stamped voucher the first time.
The location and views were stunning. The staff were very friendly. There was a nice chilled vibe around and the little bar and grill was a nice chilled out vibe after a day of hiking. Food here was also great and breakfast was simple but good in the lodge. The room we stayed in with a balcony looking on to Eiger was fantastic. Would highly recommend.
First Lodge is in a prime location as it is right next door to Grindelwald First and walking distance to other activities. We were welcomed by Louisa at the desk and she couldn’t have been nicer, she was so helpful and informative.
The lodge is right next to the terminal
Very easy to go to Jungfrau or Interlaken.
The hostel is a little suffocated as we got a room on the basement.
Otherwise, the room is good.
Otherwise, the breakfast is best. Location is perfect, and you should definitely book this hostel if you get a good room.
Location was roughly 8 minutes walk from the Grindelwald train station. WiFi was way too good. Apt deer is the ground floor whereas the 1st floor is a private residential apartment. It’s being managed by the Jungfrau lodge, and the staff are amazing.
