We loved being in a more secluded piece of paradise with access to kayaks. It was comfortable and very peaceful.

I liked the affordability of this property. We had five people staying and it was really difficult to find this sort of accommodation on the island. Most of the other places only took 2 and it would have cost us a fortune to book 3 rooms. The host was very accommodating and helped us out. We really wanted a cheap holiday for the family and this gave us just that. We were so appreciative. There is a brilliant restaurant just outside the property - some people say the best on the island. The food was amazing!!

Sunny Beach Lodge was awesome! As a solo traveller, it was my first time coming to Aitutaki. I was picked up from the airport, given a little tour of the town centre and then dropped off at the lodge. My bungalow on the beach was AMAZING. It is a peaceful spot away from the main road, and you can watch the sunset from the beachfront. The room is great, had everything I needed at a great price: towels, beach towels, very comfortable bed, jug, air conditioning & fan, outside loungers. There are kayaks and bicycles to use, and it was easy to organise a scooter through the hosts, as well as a lagoon tour for me. The lodge is an easy walking distance to an ATM, 24/7 supermarket, and takeaways/ food and breakfast spots.
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and my overall trip to Aitutaki. The people are sooooo lovely (you'll be saying hi to everyone). I felt really safe and well looked after, and it really is paradise. Take your time and enjoy all that's on the island. I was really impressed with the amazing food and would absolutely recommend doing a lagoon tour (shout out to Aitutaki Adventures)!!
Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
Quiet area in the middle of the island. Lush greenery around. Tutai was very welcoming and picked us up from the airport.
The lodge has everything you need if you are like it basic and to be close to nature. All windows and doors are screened, didn’t had one mosquito inside. Excellent sleep. And water pressure we much appreciated (some shower have low pressure on the island). Kitchen is great.
Avatea Cafe just next door! Amazing.
Drive to town 5 min in the bike!
The lodges are very spacious and the kitchen well stocked, which would be great for a family and/or if you're planning on doing a lot of cooking. There were also lots of towels provided, which isn't always the case! The deck is a nice place to sit and enjoy a morning coffee and there's a clothesline and pins for hanging clothes and swimsuits. Tutai is very nice and was flexible on a late checkout, which we appreciated.
rustic lodges with great views across the lagoon, lovely sunsets and easy swimming. staff collect you from the airport for free (it’s 5 mins drive). There is a bar - but only seems to be open Saturday evenings. the rooms do have good air con and fans, as well as insect screens. shower was old fashioned but powerful and hot.
the bungalow is just in front of the beach and very clean and comfortable. is quite roots, but like any place in the island. on Wednesdays and saturdays have a nice bar inside the lodge, which is really nice
We enjoyed our stay here very much and would recommend Paradise Cove Lodge at any time. The location of the bungalows directly on the beach is unique and the staff is incredibly friendly and more than helpful. We were picked up at the airport and warmly welcomed. Overall, we felt very comfortable and would definitely come again.
Cute lodges that were surprisingly spacious! Great value for money as could sleep up to 5 people. It was further inland than we realised but everything was still very close even on bicycles. What made the trip was our hosts - Ariki of the area, Tutai and her husband Papa Des. So generous with their knowledge and accommodating! An honour to meet them. Nice food place close by also.
