The lodge has everything you need if you are like it basic and to be close to nature. All windows and doors are screened, didn’t had one mosquito inside. Excellent sleep. And water pressure we much appreciated (some shower have low pressure on the island). Kitchen is great. Avatea Cafe just next door! Amazing. - Review score7.9Good · 86 reviewsThe lodges are very spacious and the kitchen well stocked, which would be great for a family and/or if you're planning on doing a lot of cooking. There were also lots of towels provided, which isn't always the case! The deck is a nice place to sit and enjoy a morning coffee and there's a clothesline and pins for hanging clothes and swimsuits. The location of the bungalows directly on the beach is unique and the staff is incredibly friendly and more than helpful. We were picked up at the airport and warmly welcomed. It was further inland than we realised but everything was still very close even on bicycles. What made the trip was our hosts - Ariki of the area, Tutai and her husband Papa Des.
