DANGEROUS!!! DON’T EVER STAY HERE!!!!! My wife and I went for our honeymoon January 2025, and our lives were put at risk. When we arrived at the property, we upgraded to their nicest room/villa. I’ll admit that the view of the reservoir was beautiful, but that all quickly changed. We noticed that the glass door of our living room, which connected to outside was not able to be locked. When nighttime arrived, we decided to lock the bedroom door of our villa. Little did I know that was the decision that saved our lives. At around midnight, we were woken by noises inside our villa. Within a minute, someone was trying to enter our bedroom door.
I immediately shouted as our lives were in danger. Being in the middle of no where and the hotel having no phone number to call, my wife messaged the hotel through WhatsApp. This is the only form of communication you have with the property during your stay. She messaged saying someone was in our villa and to please send help. Whoever had entered, left the villa and security took over 12 minutes to arrive. At that point, we walked outside of our bedroom, and found the glass door in the living room completely open. We asked for security to move us to the main hotel (The Brown) but they were at capacity. Imagine having to stay in a villa where someone just broke in? We begged and paid for the security to stay until sunrise. The next day, no one from the hotel reached out to us to see how we were doing or feeling. No one followed up with us about their investigation and if the police were going to be involved. We had to bring it up to them and when we spoke to concierge, they acted like it was nothing. They never once apologized or offered anything for the trauma we experienced. We asked them for a refund of our second night since we didn’t feel comfortable staying another night and they refused.
It wasn’t until I told them I was going to write a negative review that they said they would accommodate a partial refund.

I booked the smaller cabana with the view directly from the tub. The jets weren't working, so they upgraded me to a bigger room!

Diego is one of the best hosts we have ever had in Colombia. A very nice, helpful, and a super host.
Ideal for nature lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and have kitchen facilities. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than vacation homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
