The breakfast options were fabulous. The dinners were excellent. Very fresh, simple, and tasty. The hosts were so accommodating and always wanting to help, it was very comfortable being there. The hosts also set up a birding tour with a local guide and we were able to actually see a quetzal!

Paraíso Quetzal Lodge features extensive gardens, wooden bungalows and a terrace with views of the cloud forest. It is located just 1.9 mi from Los Quetzales National Park.

Beautiful well maintained garden with many flowers and birds. Staff were excellent especially the front desk Mark. He is very friendly and helpful. I have been to this hotel three years in a row. It is the place to watch and photograph quetzals as the name suggested.

This is a really nice lodge with simple rooms and a really good breakfast. Staff was exceptionally good as was the dinner and dessert menu. The shower was very comfortable with nice warm water available on very cool mornings.

The staff are wonderful and helpful in every way possible. The lodges are so atmospheric, with stars galore at night and wood fires if the weather gets damp. The hummingbird garden by the stunning restaurant vista is bliss. The best thing I can say is that my wife and I both felt slightly bereft when we came to depart. Wonderful homely and peaceful place to stay and from the owner to every single staff we were made to feel warmly welcomed. Also, they helped us organise a quetzal tour which delivered us many of those beautiful birds.

Rosy and Olman were so welcoming - I had a great stay. Their property and garden is so beautiful and peaceful. Copey is a small village...not too much to do around here, but nature is amazing and the people very friendly. A lot of agriculture around here. Not a lot of restaurant options around there...I went to El Toucanet lodge...which was very nice (and the manager very friendly).

One of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed at. The cabin was very nice, food was exceptional and the staff helpful and nice. We had two very young kids (1 and 4) and we could take them with us on the 3km hike around the forest and plantations - we enjoyed that a lot! We really like the sustainable emphasis the lodge has and eating local product.

The lodge is located in the beautiful mountains of Copey. The road leading to this lovely place of natural beauty is very good. We were greeted by Diego who was most helpful and kind. The delicious breakfast is a typical Costa Rican one, which you enjoy while watching all the humming birds at their feeders! Dinner was also very good and prices were reasonable. The uphill climb on their trail is worth it, especially if you can make it to their Cypress Forest!
