Located 1.8 miles from Tigre Beach, Chosa Manglar Suites & Cabins offers a garden, a shared lounge and air-conditioned accommodations with a patio and free WiFi.

We stayed at the King's Suite, which included a spacious sleeping area decorated with original art, with an equally spacious bathroom and well-equipped outdoor kitchen. It also included a covered front porch with a small table where we could enjoy the property's extensive jungle flowers and plants, while watching wildlife and having a meal. There was a small rooftop deck, perfect for bird and monkey-watching, enjoying the second cup of coffee or a book. Odd though it may seem, this property on the edge of Puerto Jimenez is in an actual rainforest complete with monkeys, sloths, coati, macaws, toucans and many other exotic birds. Surprisingly, it was only a few hundred feet from the town's airstrip. Following hotel checkout, we were able to walk to the runway carrying all our luggage. The resort also included a beautiful jungle garden, where patrons swapped stories around the nightly bonfire. This was a perfect place for socializing with the staff and other guests, while enjoying refreshments and more wildlife. On recent Saturday nights, a DJ has offered dances. One evening, a fantastic band from Panama played a variety of live music from Central America.

TREEHOUSE PILON PAVONES is located in Pavones and offers an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and a terrace.

Beautifully crafted and designed house in the jungle canopy. It feels like being part of nature. The kitchen is great, the room is spotless, the bathroom is convenient and there is everything needed to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The hosts Gilly, Pierre and Vivi were really welcoming and friendly. They showed us the jungle around, helped us with a flat tire, recommended us tours and restaurants, and much more. We felt like home - we came for 4 nights ended up staying for 10!

Providing garden views, Playa Nicuesa Rainforest Eco Sanctuary in Golfito provides accommodations, a garden, a private beach area, a terrace, a restaurant and a bar.

This isn’t the Four Seasons - There is no air conditioning and you will get loads of bug bites, HOWEVER- This place is staffed by seriously attentive employees who love their jobs. Playa Nicuesa met us the Golfito airport, escorted us by taxis to the Piers and then we boarded a small speedboat to the property. It was exciting! The accommodations are very pleasant and there is netting around each bed for night time bug control. We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit and it was extremely clean and comfortable. The food is healthy and good. The property has all sorts of excursions to take advantage like hiking, fishing, yoga and snorkeling. We went out on the boat one day and found ourselves in the midst of hundreds of dolphins. And did I mention the yoga - two classes every day. We had loads of time for resting and reading as well. It was the ultimate relaxing vacation.

With mountain views, Dolphin Quest Costa Rica is located in Piedras Blancas and has a restaurant, a shared kitchen, bar, garden, seasonal outdoor pool and grill.

the raw beauty of the place is immediately captivating but it’s the warmth, ingenuity and creativity of the extended family operators which makes the place “one-in-a-million.” We fell in love with all of the adventure activities and the pristine jungle clime.

The place was amazing. Only 6 rooms so quiet, nice remote feeling. Brand new, amazing half outdoor kitchen with all the stuff you need. Rooms were spacious and comfy, beach right in front with pretty much no one else around. Staff super friendly and helpful as well.

There was no breakfast but there are places just down the road. It is a lodge, so its simple and basic, no AC, no hot water but that is what I expected. The gardens and local fauna are amazing.

Since it wasn’t our first visit to his lodge, we knew him (the owner) and the area around it already. The fact that we have been here 3 times, should speak for itself. The rooms are modest and the nature around it, is unbelievable. Breakfast with monkeys and Tucans will be unforgettable. The owner is very forthcoming, he even took the time to help us with our car troubles.

Situated in the middle of the rainforest, the Purruja Lodge offers a nice, green space to relax and watch the wildlife. The stuff was friendly and uncomplicated. We asked for breakfast at arrival and it was really nice and also cheap.
