Beautiful and unique location. Everything you need, even coffee for the morning, a fridge and some board games. Very friendly host. Even saw some frogs, birds and a sloth on a tour around the farm. We had a beautiful stay.

The lodge is deep in the rainforest with lots of wildlife around - we had a wonderful couple of nights here. In contrast to some reviews we found the bungalows to be very clean and the bed extremely comfortable. Lovely balconies to watch humming birds on. They advise getting your drinking water from the fountain in the restaurant as the room water is not safe to drink, so bring bottles.
The reception / car park area is excellent for wildlife spotting and we saw tapirs, tamandua, toucans and a whole family of coatis. There’s also a tree there full of the delightful sounds of the yellow tailed oropendola.
The forest walkway is lovely, very easy on concrete walkways and has a good hide where we watched coatis.
Breakfast is excellent but more coffee and toast would have been much appreciated.
Road is one way controlled by security at each end.
Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
