Great view of the ocean and jungle. Air conditioning in the female dorm I stayed in. There are 4 lockers in the dorm, bring your own lock. That being said, it felt very safe. There is a locked gate in the evening with security standing by. I met nice people there. Lots of bird species around. A mated pair of Scarlett Macaws in the area. An isolated beach, 30 min walk. There is a restaurant/ bar on site. A discount is provided for food. I would stay again. It was great.
Situated 2.9 km from Playitas Beach, Glamping Tomaselli offers an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony and free WiFi.

Great quirky property with gorgeous views and lovely rooms.
Be prepared to climb uphill with your luggage to reach your room/ the pool/ kitchen.
Host was lovely and responds very quickly to messages.
Room was idyllic- particularly loved the outdoor shower
The pools are cool although, could have done with a clean at the bottom

Staff are lovely and we got a free upgrade to a room with a jacuzzi as we were early, which was really nice of them.
Breakfast and food at the hotel was the best we had during our stay in Costa Rica
Aesthetics are nice.

I am so so thankful Booking recommended me this hotel when I was searching for places where to stay in Costa Rica!
I'm a seasoned traveler and I usually never leave reviews, but for Santa Juana Lodge I had to. I can't say without a doubt that this is one of the best place I've ever stayed at in my life. Everything felt so absolutely perfect, from the everyone in the staff who made you feel like you were (Alan especially!), to the food, the rooms and the location... (wow the view!!) I am even amazed that it's only sitting at 9.6 on Booking, it should be higher.
So if you are looking to go to Costa Rica next, do yourself a favor and book this place, you won't regret it! (Oh and don't forget to book activities with them. The birdwatching tour and the Santa Juana mountain tour are absolutely dreamy!) I can't wait to be back...
With mountain views, Rafiki Safari Lodge is located in Savegre and has a restaurant, a concierge service, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace.

Amazing place to stay! We had two nights and saw so much wildlife - sitting on our deck overlooking the pond we spent ages watching huge iguanas in the trees, loads of birds and even a Basilisk Lizard running across the water!
The safari tents are really comfortable - fab beds, proper hot showers and plenty of space. I had a bit of a concern about the amount of creepy crawlies we might have in/around the tents but the mesh netting kept everything out (we saw plenty of insect life on the trails but nothing in or around the tents!).
The big communal deck is also fab - the first night there was a huge storm and we sat having dinner while the thunder and lightning raged around us and bats flew round overhead - a really magical experience. The food was excellent and there was plenty of it.
The pool and waterslide were a big hit with the kids too!
Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
Surrounded by animals! Monkeys on your balcony, toucans in the trees while you eat breakfast, a sloth on the road leading to the lodge.
The locals feel like the monkeys are a nuisance ... I watched the monkeys pulling up and smashing roof tiles on the hotel and getting into the housekeeping carts, the it's also the monkeys that bring the tourists.
The lodge is pretty comfortable, clean , organized
With a mini fridge
The swimming pool is beautiful but not enough places for all residents to be at the pool
Smoothies are delicious
The staff are friendly
Amazing location, it is like a little hidden safari. The place has a great potential. The manager was professional and helpful. I would recommend this place.
Very quiet. Helpful staff.
The property is subdivided into lodges.
Each lodge has its own balcony and a hammock.
Outdoor toilet and shower very bright.
Nice to wake up and have a delicious breakfast.
Coffee is always available for free at the pool area.
If you like animals, I had the chance to meet a raccoon looking for food underneath my balcony and also around the hotel. It was lovely to see some white face monkeys climbing on the trees from my bedroom.
Liked that it was close to the Manuel Antonio Park.
Manager agreed to pay out 2 last days as we left the hotel early due to unsatisfactory lodging and premises.
Camera's on site for security
Great rustique hostel with amazing views from balcony, you have the sense that you are in a jungle lodge.everything from wood.nice free breakfast.very spacious showers and toilets.
The staff of the lodge are extremely pleasant. Alongside accommodating our needs with laundry, cooking, and a slightly delayed check-out time, they are extremely skilled at pointing out animals that live on the property. These included a sloth (named Pepe) and a troop of squirrel monkeys. The wilderness surrounding the property is beautiful, and the room itself is comfy and homey. An A/C unit, cable with all the good channels, functioning Wi-Fi, and kitchen implements made for a great rooming experience.
