It was a beautiful property with many trails to walk on. The birds, in particular, the hummingbirds were incredible. Everything was very clean and well maintained. Mario was a great host and took great care of us.

Offering an indoor pool and a restaurant, Peace Lodge is located a 1-hour drive from San Jose in Vara Blanca. Free WiFi access is available in this lodge.

This is the one of the best hotels our family has stayed at! We loved our room, especially the massive bathroom that had the waterfall feature and 2 showers! Dinners were exceptional (although expensive) and we really enjoyed all of the animal activities, especially the feedings. Michael and Rodrigo were our guides and took great care of our family. Everyone who works at the hotel was so friendly and made us feel very welcome!

Lovely rooms with open fire and bedroom on a separate level. The views from the balcony were great. The restaurant was the highlight - the food was delicious. Lovely 5k walk directly from the back of the hotel. Good location for visiting Poas volcano.

We had the most amazing stay and the staff (thank you Mario in particular!) couldn't have been more accommodating of our photography needs! The place is teeming with wildlife which was the reason for our stay: hundreds of hummingbirds around the feeders along with many other spacial sightings in and around the lodge including a quetzal exceeded our expectations by far! Our room was very (very!) spacious with the most comfortable bed we've had during our time in Costa Rica (it wasn't "extra firm" like most others...)
