With Western City reachable in 29 km, Lysečinská bouda offers accommodation, a restaurant, a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge.

Rooms are small but kinda cute and clean, the beds are comfy and bedsheets smell nicely fresh. Bathrooms are shared and there’s only one shower but it was PERFECTLY clean in there. The restaurant part is very nice, cozy and inviting. Food we had for dinner was nice and fresh, nothing fancy but I guess exactly what you can expect in a place in the middle of the mountains. Breakfast though, amazing! Very wide choice, fresh bread, tasty scrambled eggs, some homemade looking cake, lots of drinks to choose from. All for a really good price. The stuff was also very friendly, the girl at the bar was smiling and chatty, giving advice on the trails and attractions around. Dogs are welcomed. For the guests staying for the night there’s also a small kitchen space with a fridge, kettles, small stove etc.

It's important to always start with the positives and the location is superb with a fantastic view of the local countryside. Oddly though, despite all the tables in the restaurant being empty we were told .. yes TOLD to sit at a table in the corner facing the wall. The hostess has good English skills which is fortunate as our Czech language is rudimentary at best. On a positive note Everywhere was clean including our room. The spartan walls were painted white .. yes not one picture or mirror to speak of...except a laminated sheet of a dozen house rules , the bed was HARD as nails, scratchy duvet, one thinnish pillow and a miniscule towel the size of a postage stamp did nothing to ease our discomfort. Breakfast was underwhelming with limited choice and frankly having paid 126 euros I feel we were ripped off. The water for the shower was hot thankfully. Lesson learned. We will not be recommending this establishment to anyone looking for some warm Czech hospitality. Quite unlike anything else we have experienced on our travels in this beautiful country.

Great little lodge 5 minutes walk from the city centre (uphill, when you are going back), great views from the room and the outside decks where you can enjoy a drink from the bar or some local food, good parking for Pec. And the best part about this stay - the staff. Both the lady and the gentleman running everything - the kitchen, check-in and breakfast, were extremely nice and attentive and did a fantastic job (even though they didn't speak any English), they would even bring us pillows to sit on outside without even asking.

The place is wonderful, peaceful, in nature but not too far from the center of Velká Úpa. The lodge has a homy feel and the owners are lovely and happy to help with whatever you may need. The food was very tasty and breakfast exceptional. Would certainly recommend to anyone who prefers smaller boutique places with personal touch rather than big modern hotels which may be a bit cold.

Location and character: Cosy mountain lodge high above the ski resort of Pec Pod Sneskou. Very friendly staff. Although most of the staff only spoke Czech they made great efforts to understand English and my broken German. Good, freshly prepared food for dinner and breakfast. Smallish but well appointed room all updated and modern facilities.
