The moment I stepped off the boat I felt at home. The atmosphere there is one of peace and tranquility. The bed was comfortable and they provided solar lights and fans. With the windows open and the incredible sound of the ocean and wind coming through at night I didn’t need the fan too much but was nice to have it for the less windy night. The food was fresh and delicious. The beach was lovely for walks down to the tea house and to sit and swim in the water. We went out hand line fishing and managed to catch some fish and see some turtles at sunset. Had a massage before breakfast on the beach and went to mass in the church. It was such a pleasure to meet the family there and the children will forever live in my heart. Will miss you all and take your smiles and goodness with me.

The family is very kind and try their best that you feel welcome and well. The cooking was good and also the bed&matress. The huts are a bit of a walk up a small hill, with a nice view. We were able to use the Hobie Cat (paid Activity) which was fun. We walked to the school&village which was intresting.
Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
The people at Oarsman's are SUPERB, big shoutout to Lucy, Cesar, Baru and Bill and the rest of the crew, they went out their way to make sure everyone enjoys their stay. They make Oarsman's feels like home. The view in front of the lodge is breathtaking. Great food everyday. Lots of activities to do both free and charged. Everyone from the dorm sits together during meal time, made many great friends during my stay. Will definitely come back, THANK YOU :)
The seaview and large area of garden landscape of Nabua Lodge are excellent. The colour external appearance and interior decoration of wooden hut are attractive to eye ball. The meals are simple but tasty. It is very relaxing to lie in hammock under coconut trees with a wide angle of beautiful seaview in front of you. Staff are friendly, helpful and polite. Different species of coral and fish can be spotted about 70m from the beach. Free to use kayak.
We had an amazing 3 nights at Nubua Lodge. From our pick up from the Yasawa Flyer by Tom, who gave us a friendly welcome to the island to the delicious meals and the activities available, everything was what we expected and more. We were able to do the cave tour and the blue lagoon snorkelling which were both excellent.
There are no bad Fiji islands. All are gorgeous. Nabua Lodge is truly “Fiji time”. You can either visit Sawa cave or snorkel at Blue Lagoon, and that’s it for activities. Otherwise relax and slow down.
Nabua Lodge is very nice, because the service people are very very friendly. The food is very good and is different every day. It is possible to book a Tour to the blue lagoon, the cave on the neighbour island or to visit the village. We have spend 4 nights and had a great time.
All I can say is that Oarsmans Bay lodge is special. If you like big hotel resorts then maybe it won't be for you. This small resort is beautiful with amazing staff, food and in a beautiful location. The staff made our trip and we are so grateful.
The most beautiful location, absolutely worth the long boat ride to get there. Clear blue water and clean sandy beaches with incredible coral reef accessible from the beach. We stayed in the lodge which was reasonably sized although not much room for a suitcase to open and had a ceiling fan which was much needed! Really great activities on offer which we got involved with, loved the cave trip and the village tour!! Staff all very friendly and welcoming.
I stayed in a lodge - private room but shared bathroom with dorms. Always clean, and had hot water. Really friendly staff but definitely more formal than some other places I've stayed. It was always clean, lovely pool and excellent food!
