The shepherds hut was lovely warm and cozy and a nice quirky experience.
The pub was lovely, the staff were very welcoming and helpful especially Steve, Finn and Sam and so were all the locals. Met some lovely people.
Just what we wanted a nice quiet base with access to some gorgeous walks.
Yurtshire Eavestone Lake - Birch Yurt enjoys a location in Ripon, just 10 miles from Lightwater Valley Theme Park and 11 miles from Royal Hall Theatre.

Fantastic weekend break, beautiful Sett very clean and every facility catered for, the hosts cannot do enough for you. Loved the breakfast hamper delivered to the door each morning, with amazing views and peaceful location we will return.

What’s not to love?
VERY welcoming and attentive hosts (Bridget and Neil and their family). Well-appointed luxury pods that include private hot tubs and patios. Located in the shadow of Pen-y-ghent and next to beautiful rolling pasture land. Less than a mile from the Settle-Carlisle train stop.
Peace, quiet, and natural beauty…exactly as advertised.
We’ve come from the U.S. twice to visit the Yorkshire Dales and stay here. We look forward to a third visit.
Highly recommend with zero reservations. Do yourself a favor and stay here.

Fantastic place, the whole family enjoyed the stay. The walks, the hot tub and the Sauna! Just beautiful!
Ideal for nature lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and have kitchen facilities. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than vacation homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
Really cosy lodge and in a beautiful location. The hosts were absolutely amazing. We were given a really lovely breakfast every morning. Definitely will be coming again soon!
The views are to die for and the lodge is very cosy and has everything you need for a break, very well presented and the owners are very polite and welcoming, highly recommend.
