The Green Travelodge in Bukit Lawang was amazing. Great location in this beautiful village on the edge of the jungle set in a quiet area across the river from the main village surrounded by trees. Our room (with ensuite) was on the first level, and it was like living in a tree house (lots of shade).
The Green Travelodge restaurant and bar attached to the lodge are located on the edge of the river with excellent food, cold beer, and friendly service. There is a short walk across the sway bridge to the main village (variety of small shops, plenty of bars and restaurants). Watch out for scooter traffic as it is the main transport method along the narrow, sometimes hilly pathway on that side.

Location was unreal. Bit of a trek to the property but well worth it. The staff were kind and helpful. Went Jungle trekking with Robin and Ivan, and they were both amazing. Food was delicious!

I loved the stay in a hut so close to the nature, surrounded by quiet forest, stunning view and sound of river. Huts are simple, no electricity, which I liked. Owner took care of meals which were amazing. Also the trip to the jungle was very well organized with fruit snack and lunch.
Huts are located on a hill to which lead a steep path but it is only 5 minutes hike. Alltogether maybe 30 minutes of walk from the village. You can leave your heavy stuff with owner and take only necessary things with you.
During breakfast time expect visit of monkeys.
