Rooms were cleaned every day and towels changed. Although the breakfast is not included, there is a cafeteria available within the same building for those who want to have a drink, coffee, or a meal. I didn't know what to expect and had trepidations about "shared common area" but that area was just a communal kitchen that was fully supplied and separated from everything else. The rest of the time we were out exploring or in our very comfortable and large room. There is a great restaurant about 300 meters away with fantastic food. We loved the grounds and walks and the leisure centre too. The only slight negarive we thought was the bar/restaurant. The location is out of town - you need to drive rather than walk to places to eat etc - but that means it's peaceful and easy to find.
