I loved everything about this place, it’s so cosy, confortable and clean. I had only one night and was so sad I couldn’t extend and stay there longer.
The host is so nice and helpful.
You can enjoy the hot tub while looking at northern light and have a good rest inside the room where you’ll find everything you need to enjoy your stay.
Wifi connection is working well. You have to visit!

The cottage was very rustic and had the cutest tiny wood burning stove (but only wood for 1.5 hours). It’s tucked way away from anything else so there is lots of privacy.

We booked the little cabin and it was bigger than we expected.
The host is nice and helpful. Good location.
Ideal for nature lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and have kitchen facilities. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than vacation homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
Absolutely adorable lodge with everything you need. Great location and good value. The newly expanded breakfast area is beautiful and had a lovely breakfast spread. Great place to catch up with fellow travelers and the very helpful staff.
Very friendly. Because of road closures after a glacial flood we couldn't come back to the lodge to Check Out on time (we had to do the loop around Iceland instead of just driving 3 hours to the lodge). This was no problem.
Great view over the river. Many birds.
Good location if you are exploring the Highlands, but expect to drive to a remote area with a bit of gravel. Overall very thoughtfully designed cabin with a booklet for recommendation for things to do nearby. Bonus - personal touch of 2 small pieces of chocolate as welcome gesture.
place is unique. in the middle of nowhere, just 7 km from route #1. newly renovated. room is big and comfortable. the staff is very friendly and helpful. You can ask Bernat anything about the routes around the lodge. Located very close to Mt. Hekla (Icelands' fuji). Great jacuzzi & Sauna in the back yard facing the desert view.
Fabulous find, Tindasel Lodge is a bit out of town, we followed google map directions and did quite a few kms on a gravel road, make sure to follow the instructions from the property and there is only a short gravel section. There is a great walk with amazing views of some waterfalls and the volcano just from the carpark. The manager and staff were fantastic, communication from the property was very helpful, dinner menu only small number of choices, continental breakfast was great. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.
Beautifully presented house set in remote area but within driving distance of all the sights in the southern region. We were 4 couples there was lots of space and it never felt cramped. Wonderful hot tub and also table tennis table in garage which was a nice surprise!
The wooden lodges on the river side were very comfortable and clean. The breakfast room, although small (they are building a new, bigger room) was fine and the friendly company of the owners more than made up for its size. Breakfast was simple but good - yoghurt, fruit, cereal, eggs and toast, tea, coffee, orange juice. The owners also have a wonderful self contained wooden lodge next door which would be perfect for families.
Tindasel Lodge seems like a boutique lodge off-road near Hella. Driving towards it feels like going on a farmstead and entering the Lodge itself feels like steping into a deluxe hotel. The rooms were nice and had a pleasant smell. The staff was friendly and helpful. It had an amazing outdoor spa which was amazing to relax in during the evening hours with a beautiful view of the country side.
The landlady is an absolute star. She's friendly and talkative if you want to know things. The lodges are greatly furbished with so much affection. Nothing to add. Would always return.
