Unique experience in nice and cosy bungalows. There are toilets inside, which was really nice! We thought the toilets would be outside with the showers, but this was not the case. There is a hot tub, but we were so tired that we didn’t go inside it. It is really cool though! The owner was super super nice, she has two cute dogs and a cat who greeted us. On the lawn is a stone and mineral collection of her sister who found them around Iceland. Supercool! We love these kind of personal touches to such locations. It was nice and quiet. A bit windy, but that’s the season. The bungalows are very sturdy. So no issues there.
If I had to name something that I missed, it’s only that the beds are separate, so there is no shared two person bed. But we knew this before we booked it.

Design of the house stood out from the normal. The lounge and kitchen were upstairs which helped with excellent view across the sea. Also a hot tub to relax in. All in all highly recommended.
Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
Very spacious and comfortable. The lodge was well equipped, the shower was great. Very comfortable bed and good heating system. The location was great, short drive from Selfoss.
-Lodge was a good size
-Sarah (receptionist) and her dog were lovely
-Easy parking
-Big patio
-Good Location quick to town and near facilities (supermarket/ petrol stations)
-The price we got really good value for money
